Yeah, I am getting scared. I know some don't rate him but he is still one of the most potential Spanish players of his generation. Losing him would hurt a lot.

There are clearly obstacles to this renewal and there have been for some time.

Alemany first said everything was agreed and would be announced on August 5th when he turns 18. The day passed and nothing. Now they are saying its because he can't be registered yet (they announced Dembele and Roberto's renewals without registering them so that's BS too).

As Gavi is from the academy any transfer fee made on him is pure profit in terms of amortisation, therefore if he won't renew he would be a good candidate to sell financially and probably this option has been considered.
