Pep got rid of Yaya, Etoo, Zlatan and Mandzukic.
He fought with them due to personality.
Pep doesn't like strong personalities.

In the case of Yaya and Zlatan, he also had superior players in Busi and Lewa.

But still, he never sells good players, only bad players.

There are so many indications that Ferran is meh:
1. we picked Trincao over him
2. Pep has let him go easily, he has even milked us
3. Man City fans saying that he was usually invisible
4. he is already meh as a winger for us

We bought a player based on his NT friendly matches performances.

So far Torres been invisible but he has made key contributions. Great assist and a goal.

I can already see the club and media/fanbase weaknesses setting in with this guy. Instead of being satisfied with players being good in the right system, we expect them to move mountains and turn into the next Messi/Ronaldinho/Cruyff/Rivaldo, etc figure.

A club like Barca is peculiar. We always look for saviors and close our eyes at the many others that should contribute more, but do jack shit.

A player like Milner or Henderson would never ever ever get a fair deal here.

Pedro, Abidal, Keita and a lot of players got a "fair deal" but that was only because the team played well and won titles, because it was well set up and lacked players like Depay who could do whatever and maybe score a goal once in a while to escape criticism. It is the same with these Liverpool players, they'd be the first ones to be criticized massively by most fans if the team started to play worse.
Sergi Roberto is pretty close to these two Liverpool midfielders in a lot of ways. Busquets, Pique and Alba have proven to be great in the right system before, maybe they are over the top at the moment, but they were criticized a lot before they were too.

Got in good positions during attacks but his finishing was way off today. But he was probably our best player at the end with 10 men, did super well to hold up the ball and force Atletico to chase and foul him.

Thought he did fairly well, especially in the second half. Looks so tired but is able to put in a huge shift anyway. Passing and movement is good.
Winner mentality. Great assist too :messi:

Falls a little too easily though and second goal was on him.

his finishing skills under pressure are a little bit worrying to say the least, but i hope he can improve on that during his stint here

Watching game again.. his finishing was off and seemed to be snatching at chances but his movement as a CF was good and was always moving the CBs and keeping them guessing while was finding the space for chances he fluffed.

he's got big time swagger. he has had a few key moments so far and displays really good technical skill. yet to be seen if he is a big time player yet. hopefully he has what it takes mentally. memphis lacks in this area.
