Went missing again , just like i said he did in plenty games for Liverpool and got slaughtered by the experts on here.

had luisito finished that chance that coutinho delivered on a silver plate with the outside of his foot, you'd be singing a different tune. no one looked sharp on that field. he still had 2nd highest pa%, advanced ball, had a shot saved, most key passes all on a terrible pitch. what more do you want?

Exactly. Messi, Coutinho, and Dembele are all dangerous, a nightmare to defend against all three. The pitch nullified them. The criticism based on this game is utterly ridiculous.

Looked good in the first half good combinations with Jordi and Dembele, was bad on the second but hard to blame him with the state of the pitch.

Shocking 2nd half performance. I'm just not sure what his best position for this team is.

I'm starting to think it's not about the position as much as it is about the lack of dynamism form the team. At Liverpool he played with lesser players quality wise, but man Klopp got that team running almost non stop. Liverpool are packed with hard working players who run a lot, move off the ball constantly and press like crazy.

At the moment they play as separate pieces, not as a whole. There is little chemistry and it takes more than just time to build that chemistry. It's not that easy to make stars work together for the good of the team, to have everything slide in the right place to make everything tick.

In spite of the top squad we have, the manager could very well fail to make them fit together and form a very competitive team in Europe. It's very well on the cards.

Agree with this.

Most times when Philipe gets the ball in an area/space to run into, his default mode of thinking is to penetrate, mostly in behind but while runs for these types of passes existed from Firmino, Mane, Salah, they don't from Messi/Suarez and rarely from Dembele.

Thus he goes sideways, backwards etc.

Serghei is on the money with the word 'dynamism.' Was thinking of that word over the last few weeks.

We've a severe lack of it, we're just so static as a team.

I still remember when Coutinho made his debut for Barca in a 20 minute cameo people were going crazy on here about him. But he's been found out as just an ordinary player nothing more, why would Klopp let him go so easily if he was that special

So we signed Coutinho easily? Oke than.

He conveniently forgot how Liverpool and Klopp stonewalled any move for him in the summer and the amount of money we payed for him in January.
