Yes, but Gundo could have even more goal contributions closer to the goal.
Ideally we would use Gundo and Pedri as double 8s (like Pep was doing with Gundo-KDB) to create chances for Lewy and Dembele but since we don't have a DM Xavi will need to find a way to interchange positions between Pedri and Gundo (who of them will stay back and who will go forward) based on the opponents etc..
With current team (and even if we sign Oriol Romeu as a DM I see him more as a rotational player than a starter) and if we'll continue to use 4 midfielders box I'd keep Pedri and FDJ deeper with Gundo and Gavi in front of them. Should work at home against most La Liga teams that usually sit back. Against better teams would probably need to bring a more stationary DM to also give more freedom to FDJ and move both Gundo and Pedri closer to the opponents goal.
Good thing is all our midfielders are versatile and capable of playing multiple roles. Now it's up to Xavi to figure out how to get the best out of them.
