8 - Pedri

Horatio

You're welcome
How did Las Palmas let him go for 5 million with three years left on contract? Something fishy going on...
Even with covid couldve gotten a bit more.

There are variables in there that could technically reach 25-30 Million if I remember correctly.

He didn't sign during Covid, deal was made official in Sept 2019.
He joined them 1 year prior, and my understanding they are the one who contacted Barca (Their SD or someone in their board is friend of Planas, Abidal assistant at the time)
For a 16 years old kid who is playing in Segunda a 5M deal that could go up to 25M is as good as it gets tbh

Wonderful player. I think even at 18 he's outdone expectations. I doubt both Las Palmas and Barcelona expected him to be this good.

99 % [BBZ-style source] of 17-18 year olds at big clubs play just to develop in hope of reaching a potential. This guy plays because he actually adds something extra to the team. And this is for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

His flaws, like shooting and to some extent physique, are obvious. Which is good in a way because it's easy to make a development plan for him.

Lucho would be mad not to call him up.

Then Pedri is 1% BBZ talks about. A real talent that can reach the top.

His aspects like physique, shooting can be since he is just 18.

Lucho may call him for some friendly matches but i think he will play U21 Euro instead of 2021 Euro. Better for him.

I knew he will become very good when I've watched him a few times for Las Palmas but I've never expected him to become our key player in 3-4 months.

More transfers like this please.

What a player! Looks like a good lad, with the head firmly screwed in on his shoulders. Bodes well for his future development.

He needs to be rotated more though. He is only 18, not fully physically developed and playing so much, so often at his age is not optimal imo.

Insane technique, lots of flair, good in tight spaces, high footballing IQ, Spanish (not Catalan), humble, can't shoot.

This is Iniesta's regen boys.

Iniesta was faster than current Pedri and didn't have lots of flair. Pedri is like Zidane more. He can shoot but he doesn't try to attempt and test his luck. This is what he needs to improve.
