8 - Pedri

Again invisible in big games simply too small and weak no matter what. Just pressure him a bit physically and he's useless. Barca will never be a serious cl team with him

He has a good assist. Thought he is decent this game though his overall impact isn't enough. Xavi wants him make 100 passes per game btw.

Nowadays you need to be technically gifted and athletic. But if a player is both of those be sure all other clubs are in line for him as well. Pedri still very good player for us to have and can get stronger. Been building strength. His legs look stronger. Less legs of a heron.

But don't see us winning Cl honestly. La Liga yes.

Non-sense.

1) City, who are top of the class, play with a bunch of slow CMs and wingers.
2) Pedri didn't have a worse game than any of Real's athletic mids.
3) When you watch games live you see that teams are very good at compressing space. Game is played in a small square, which makes me doubt the sport will completely become like the roided American ones, which is the biggest fear here?

But interesting battle lining up in the next decade with the likes of Gavi, Pedri and co. against the athletically superior Madrid mids.

Well....there is a reason Pedri has been keen to build muscle mass for 2 seasons now.

KdB and Bernardo Silva are stronger than Pedri though.

Athletically superior in what way? They just look good physically and are probably stronger.

Pedri, Frenkie, and gavi can run for days.

They are long distrance atheletes.

Pedri is not very athletic, it's a genetic thing, he can improve this area with gym work etc., but it will never make him a fast, explosive player. But he is still good and influential in our game.

The biggest problem with him in the last years has been frequent injuries not allowing him to develop more. If he has a full season fit with no serious injuries, he will continue to develop and get better.

It is vital for our young players to stay fit, and to get used to playing difficult Champions League games. It is very hard to make the next step and become world class, by only playing Classicos here and there. You need to consistently play against top European sides to get to that level.

It is vital our team learns to play with slightly higher tempo regarding passes for CL. A lot of times we face a good team and they get between our passes our repossess ball quickly by putting pressure catch up to us in a sprint or we misplace simple pass. Pedri Frenkie en Gundo technically gifted, they could do that. But we more of team than just them participating.

What are you talking about for most of the game real completely dominated the midfield Barcelona couldn't even get out of their half. They all had more impact than Pedri who didn't do shit.
And not a single player at city is slow except for maybe rodri but he's quite strong and tall. All miles ahead of Pedri athletically.
This result is quite a fluke they hit the post 5 times and missed a penalty. Barcelona barely created anything and scored 2 goals when the teams were already heavily rotated near the end.
In reality real dominated

Nobody gives a shit. It's perfectly normal to defend leads and for the team chasing a lead, Madrid in this case, to create more chances trying to tie the score. It's how football is played 99% of the time when similarly strong teams are facing each other.

Barely created anything? Are you stupid or something?

Did you miss Dembele missing one on one?

Dembeles cross?

Romeu's chance?

And bunch of other chances?

They could have scored 5? More like we could have scored 8 or 9.
