That would be horrible. Pedri as an attacking midfielder playing behind a slow striker is as useful as a chocolate teapot. Fermin is far better there, that should have been blatantly obvious given Fermin's performances since the turn of the year.
Pedri's 'through balls' could possibly be beneficial, but you need a quick striker to play through balls to. We don't have that. Pedri should be playing deeper or not at all.
Not many can pass with their weak foot like Pedri. He is very two footed. Would be big shame if he can not transform himself into an attacking midfielder.that role would fit him very well, guy has a great vision for the last pass
Pedri can play in deep role but i think he does give away the ball a bit much for someone who plays there. I think he wants to be a creative 10, but doesn't know how to be. There is hesitation in his game.I prefer Pedri deeper and Gundo as AMC (with Fermin as his sub) but one of the good things with this squad is versatility of most players which will give Flick lot of tactical flexibility.
