of course we needed him . What's the point of relying on Messi and Neymar to bail us out every game. He tied with Ronaldo while having played less and without any penalties , who the hell would have thought he was turning out to be a flop.

suarez makes good runs early in behind the defence but nobody bothers to pass, instead they pass sideways until they are on the edge of the box and the space is limited.

we'd be a much worse team without him in the side, that's all i'm saying.

It's funny how certain players/coaches seem to be protected on here and always given unconditional support, while others are given unconditional criticism. Suarez clearly being the former.

How he gets a pass, given the unbelievable fee that we paid for him, is really baffling. I didn't think he was anywhere near as good as people believed he was before, I didn't think we should have bought him in the summer, and I don't think he should be starting now.

But 30 goals against low/mid table EPL teams seems to have cemented his place in our line-up, unfortunately.

Yeah thats all he has ever done... 30 goals against lower/mid teams.

If thats all you think he did last season then you never watched him enough.

Take Suarez out the team now and you are taking out the player that along with Messi is creating chances.

But you get back the Messi-Neymar partnership.

I think their positioning is wrong. Should be Messi behind both of them. Up to the coach, though.

To say that we never needed a player LIKE Suarez is absolutely ridiculous. We undoubtedly did.

I'm pretty ambivalent about him at the moment, mind. Time is pushing on and we're still seeing precious little. I don't think he should be dropped (we simply don't have the artillery), but I certainly am worried.

So you agree that we still needed Suarez, but we just needed to focus on midfield and defense first?

Not at all.Suarez apart from his football has brought a lot of liabilities.Someone who has bitten thrice can do it again.Only this time he will be out for maybe a season. And it does not matter if he does that in barca,he could do that in uruguay too and we would suffer. Also it puts barca's reputation in bad light when we sign someone who has a history like suarez.Neymar messi and sanchez would still be world class and had there been proper reinforcements in other departments,we would not have needed suarez and easily be top contenders in CL.Not to mention,we could have saved a lot of money.

imo, no difference, does not change anything.

parked bus teams, such as RSociedad, with 11 players well organized in 30 meters, ready to close the middle knowing our unidirectional tactic (and conceding a little more space on the wing, who cares ? each cross is a lost ball for us)..... what changes Messi rw or false 9 or Suarez cf or rw ? nothing. There is not space in the middle vs 11 defenders. Cut through passes in the middle through Messi are now sooooo predictable (after so many years that we play in this way) that defenders anticipate very easly.

We do not have other weapons vs such teams.
Teams can not play a parked bus vs RM, because they have more weapons than us. RM can cross because they have very good headers in CR, Benzema, Bale. They can shoot from 20-30 meters because they have very good shooter in Modric, Kroos, Rodriguez.

These are some issues that had to be settled this summer when we spent 154mio.

never understood why Kroos wasn't considered, he's the closest thing to someone like Xavi

Atletico just did, and beat them. I don't buy that with a trio like MSN we don't have weapons against parked buses. We do. There are also other players that can help. We are lacking a coach right now, the players are lost.
