His overall game was improved as opposed to that one against Espanyol, which shows he is still rusty. Still isn't 100%. Despite that he was involved in all goals as well as Gavi. Great partnership between them.
If he reaches his top form again until the ManU game (plenty of time to do so), and the team keeps improving, we might actually have a chance.

Pedri gets forward more also and he is players Lew links up with the best so far this season.

Cant go back to Lewa with two static CMs posted in between lines and two wingers on touchline and 50 yds from him.

This surely has to be Xavi evolving and not just one off tactics for Real if can dominate ball like yesterday.

Will be different when a team sits deep but that is just more than tactics need to be tweaked for.

The hope is that Xavi has realized something and it's not a one off adjustment for this game, yes.
Lewa being isolated from the "touch the line wingers" is making our attack disjointed. At least we can use one winger like that (Dembele, whos is the only one actually suitable for that role) and another player closer to the attacker (Gavi, Fati, Ferran - hope not him).
As long as Balde is there to cover the full left side, and not Alba who can't do it anymore, it's a decent solution for our players.
