Prime Suarez couldn't even finish easy tapins against Big PL teams and in the CL for Barca most of the time let alone creating chances on his own against elite teams.

Benzema was known to be a clown who misses chances for fun all his life before a couple of seasons earlier. Even some of the big goals he scored were gifts from Ulreich and Karius in an empty goal which even Lukaku would convert on his worst day.

The closet Benzema fans here are just upset that RL9 came to his league and instantly destroyed him so much so that even the media isn't asking the question of who'll be LL topscorer anymore.

RL9 had one bad game so far for Barca which was the first one against Bayern. Got an assist vs Real and was denied a clear pen.

He's been carrying Barca and converting low xG chances all season lmao.

He was poor only vs Bayern where he missed a couple of sitters

In the other games he didn't have any service

Yes but he isn't called Roberto Lopez, doesn't have "Barca DNA" and isn't a typical Barca midget so he'll shoulder all the blame for everything related to the club alongside a few others like Dembele.

True that, it took a while for Lewa to settle at Dortmund. Nunez finishing has been shambolic but he’s a constant threat. He gave us the run around the other night.

I can see the finishing comparisons. RL9 is still massively overrated as a pure finisher.

But RL9 always had beautiful technique and Darwin has awful technique. Totally different kinds of players. Poles apart no pun.

A better comparison would be young Lukaku or Heskey although Lukaku was a far superior finisher.

Darwin has won me over for now. I'm ready to give the lad time. He's a menace and a trier. Can't knock that.

Worst case would be if the suspension is eventually enforced and Lewan misses 3 more important matches.

Still looks like a good gamble.

A few of his super fans here were going on and on about how he's a player for any system (even poor ones like Xavi's).

I already know he's service dependent and can't create chances for himself like a prime Suarez or Benzema can.

That's why I'm posing this Q to them.

his misses against bayern are definitely on him

but in the second bayern game, the inter game, and the RM game the whole team played poorly.

I think it shows he's "just" a world-class player, but not a Balon d' Or level player.

Which is totally fine, but we were spoiled having had a few of the latter pretty much back to back.

akuna matata, xavi can always call up victor barbwire

or play without a target men and have fati, demz and raf interchange in fluid tictato so as to confuse the opposition

anyways, most likely they'll lift the ban

the only possible matches open for suspensions are the 3 immedialy following the offence

no way they will impose an additional 2 match suspension as it would interfere with the race for the title and this would open a can of worms even Tebas couldn't gulp up

basically i think we have a weak squad--and i dont rate xavi, whose only idea of football is 2009-2011 pep ball but without the players to do it. i dont really expect much from this team. so Lewa is a bright spot, something to look forward to, because he scores often and often scores nice goals

thats about it

"BREAKING NEWS! Lewandowski can play tomorrow against Espanyol after the dispute settlement court in Madrid issued a precautionary measure against the suspension imposed by the court of arbitration for sport"

https://twitter.com/FCBarcelona/status/1608788567052128256

Good to hear that he is available vs Espanyol, but the wording of the tweet confuses me. Does it mean that the 3-match suspension has been lifted?

Edit: Ok nvm, found my answer

"UPDATE: The court has agreed to put the suspension of Lewandowski on standby, hence why he will be available tomorrow. A final decision (re how many games he?ll miss) won?t be made until they?ve finished analyzing the arguments that have been put forward by the club."

That's bullshit.

He should have not been allowed to play vs Asspanyol and that's it.

Now they'll find excuses to give him his ban before the game vs Atletico.

Bunch of thieves.

He was suspended for 3 games so wouldn't play against Atletico anyway.

Imagine if it's reduced to one game so instead of missing Espanyol he misses Atletico

IMO, should have gone through with the appeal as they did, but not ask for the suspension to be suspended pending outcome. Should have let him miss the Espanyol game either way and hope it got reduced so he would be available vs. Atleti.
