fuck me sideways... 14 goals and 3 assists so far in 11 games for Inter, plus he has 3 goals for cameroon.. In the mid october, he has 17 fucking goals.. Just, WOW...

The in-form striker in world football by far.

If it was Rooney scoring in this manner, then the media would be loaded with "best in the world" headlines"

*I wonder how Pep must be feeling right now.

you guys are forgetting the unrest he caused in the dressing room ... the snide remarks at Pep and Frank ... the complacency that set in on Samuel during the tail end of Frank's last season and the beginning of Pep's first season ... the way he disappeared down the stretch of 2009 (his CL Final goal aside). Us jettisoning Samuel was the best thing for him and for us. Samuel is someone who needs to play with a chip on his shoulder. Real abandoned him ... he rode that all the way to "Madrid cabron, saluda el campion" ... and now he is riding FCB scorning him to the delight of Inter fans. Pep never forgave or forgot the way he acted in Frank's last season. I love what Samuel did for us in his time here. But he reacted and acted poorly when things got tough and disappeared when we needed him most in our Treble season. That doesn't excuse the way Laporta and Pep handled his transfer, but it does excuse Pep for wanting him out. No matter how well he does at Inter, there is no guarantee he would have played that way for us. none.

well i did not see anybody else doing jack shit down the stretch in our treble winning season, and as i can remember the league was all sewn up by the time he went cold soo his form was little reason to dump him

Guys, do not judge rashly about his current form.

Remember, he had similar good moments at Barca to, but after a short span of time, he was walking absolutely on nerve again by missing ridiculous chances.

All you guys have to do is waiting; do not conclude rashly please!

Irv, my man, what you haven't learned about Samuel Eto'o is that he plays for himself and his integrity--which by his moral code, includes team integrity.

His dip in form in 2009, if you want to call it that, was probably more due to the lack of love he was getting from the Barca backroom than personal complacency. Furthermore, if one of your arguments for selling a player is a dip in form, during 30+ goal season, then it wouldn't be a stretch to conclude that your clearly lacking objectivity. Outside of Ronaldo, there hasn't been one forward in the modern era that hasn't had a dry period that spanned a mere few weeks. Finally, you saw, just like everyone else, that Sammy doesn't have any qualms for what happened in the past with Barca; all of his interviews and statements support the aforementioned statement. However, he still continues to be one of the best players in the world. How do you explain this? Which chip is on his shoulder now? He has won every team award in club football but he continues to improve his game. This is very important to acknowledge since it is very rare that a player has maintained world class form for 5-7 years in the modern era.

Sammy is the type of person and player that always pushes himself to improve. Granted that getting pushed out of a club added fuel to his fire, but it is NOT the reason for his accomplishments. The reason is mainly his commitment to excellence.

By saying that Sam's internal motivational fire was long put out and that Barca kicking him out was the only thing that could re-light that fire is very unfair to Sammy's accomplishments with Inter Milan. Don't perceive his achievements as relational to Barca. This Barca-centricity just weakens your arguments. His legacy is somewhat responsible for getting him where he is today but you shouldn't overstate that relation. It is only as valid as with any other player and their relation to their former club(s) with which they have had a successful period.

Whatever happened in Barca has happened, it is done. However, just because that is your club, it doesn't mean you should try to justify its history with faulty claims.

By the way Irv, your still my man. :)

For those who say he had a dip in form last season for inter id have disagree, he was played mostly at right back by mourinho.....

left back :p

And no, that was not the reason.. He was in bad form last year, he has missed million of sitters, but last year there was milito to score.. now, there is only eto..

Hm, why not? Why wait for his bad form to start talking about him? I say we praise him now when he's so good. Eto'o FTW! OMG, million goals and few assists! There, take that! :p
You sound almost as negative as dalitis when talking about Ibra, and that's something I'd be worried about if I were you :D

its normal, praise players when there are in good form, bash them when they are in bad... :)

The thing is, sometimes some people overract, and that is what pisses me off... Being a football player is not even close to easy as some say, its easy when talking from down here ;)

It was disgusting how Eto'o was treated by the Cagliari fans. The world is definetly not out of the woods regarding racism. There are little pockets of it still present.

I miss Eto'o despite his dressing room annoyance. Apart from the current Barca team, the team composed of Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Guily and co is a definete favourite of mine.
