so sure: we'll take players that can add depth to the squad, since we are in dire straits. but that is about it

He's a fast La Masia winger that can be useful in short term and Barca unlikely to spend anywhere near 35M for him in summer having other priorities.
All there is to it.

Quite interested to see if he has a Vinicius-like impact (from time before this season when Vini couldnt get the ball on target whether it's pass or shot to save his life) where he'll be far and away fastest player in squad that breaks lines and creates chaos, even when nothing comes of it in the end.
I suspect that's what it could be and may help massively in some games.
On other hand, Xavi may well freeze him out when becomes clear he's not that smart

It's just we don't have the tenure anymore (no attractive name to play with and no money) to go after really what we needs and wants so we are eating shit.

So we should stop hiding it, we ARE getting shitty players from Depay to this guy, 3-4 years ago they wouldn't even be in a joke near FCB

id like to see what his gut busting runs into space can lead to, for sure. i hope its not like what dembele used to do often, which was super frustrating: running the ball out of play

honestly our squad as a whole is immobile, unathletic, and pretty lethargic. for sure it will be interesting what an explosive player can add to the mix

if he weren't a la masia product we would have never inquired about him.

not a good comparison because he was very very raw and very very weak back then. the spanish league was also much, much stronger at the time

Probably not. But you do bid for him because homegrown products easier to convince to return and help.
Be dumb to not take advantage of such connections and live on cheap if alternative is paying lots more and gambling when can't afford to or would be better if held off till summer and prioritize elsewhere.
