Tough game for him as he was isolated for most of the match with not much support at all from the fullback making overlapping runs. He doesn't have the natural instinct dribbling skill of a Di Maria or a Soule so he'll need to improve on that and it's evident that his biggest strengths are his runs off the ball, his speed and the ability to play both wings. At both club and national team, he does hustle defensively which is a positive sign.
Still young and making his tournament debut, a great experience for him to learn how to play in this type of game with no spaces. If he improves his dribbling and make better decision makings, then he'll be a huge asset to the national team.

Normally agree with soul on football, but he's pish this lad, honestly.
Just such a low IQ player, as givenchy says. To be fair so are Rashford and Fernandes. But Garnacho just attacks full-bacls the entire game, cuts inside, or generally runs down blind alleys. He scores some goals but that's because he shoots about 90 times a game and eventually one comes off. He's just a fucking donkey and he will never ever be anywhere close to a top player, mark my words. I'm delighted their fans think losers like this and Hojlund are top prospects

I never regarded him as a generational talent if that's what you got from my posts (I'm raving more of the likes of Soule at AS Roma, let alone a talent like Yamal). Garnacho unfortunately doesn't have the natural talent on the ball to take his game to the next level and his type of game requires a lot of coaching in terms of movement and decision making. Good thing is that he is only 20 years old and I'm hoping that Amorim does some magic with him. His type of profile is rare for the Argentine NT which is why I'm hoping that he pans out but for now, he's at best a sub for the national team.
