The problem with Gomes is not only his physical lack of speed but his speed of thought. He simply doesn't anticipate well and that makes him look even worse.

I am sick of loans. Let him stay for another season and if he doesn't work out sell at a massive loss.

What else?

there was one situation where i think carvajal had the ball and gomes covered him,or tried to cover him because carvajal just switched the run inside and gomes was instantly left two steps behind him,i was so frustrated because that it wasn't even fast counter run
luckily he didn't messed up that pass for alba,so well done there

Sell him at a massive loss this summer. Him staying at such a crucial moment for Alena and Samper is the worst possible scenario.

There is a question about what is his normal self? It isn't what we have seen this season for sure,he is much better player than that even if he isn't good enough for fee paid.
We obviously need to sell him, but from what he has shown b4 at Valencia, and some flashes he showed rarely I would prefer keeping him than going for a "loan" option. In other words I want him out but not desperately.

Same here. I'd sell for 25-30m. I'd keep him for less than that. Loaning him would be useless. To prove what? He's already proved he has potential at Valencia.

He now has to prove that he is worth the high wages we pay. Much higher than mid-table La Liga clubs. He is nowhere near good enough to defend his wages now and a loan is done to try to convince some clubs to take on his contract in addition to a potential transfer fee.

His problem is in his head. Currently, he does not possess the right mentality to really show what he is capable of. He is too afraid. I hate this saying but he is not "tough" enough, not a natural fighter (like Rafinha, or Roberto for example). But being a fighter is not necessary, it is possible to be a "cool" player like Busi, Xavi and Iniesta - but these are one-in-generation players.

Him staying would harm the team and it would harm La Masia. He absolutely must leave and if we take a loss for it then that's just how it's got to be.

Whatever happens this summer I'm convinced he'll be given second chance next season like all new signings. Also Lucho praised him during the press conference last night which I think is simply morale boosting without any basis.

Defend his wages? He doesn't have to defend his wages. His contract does that.

Of course he has to prove he is worth his wage. Which club will be willing to take on that massive contract based on what he is showing and mess up their own wage structure? People who think we'll get a good transfer fee in addition to offloading his contract are not realistic.

The club payed some serious money for him. It's not like they'll sell him for 5m. He won't leave until a good portion of that transfer sum can be recovered. Or, at least, that is how any serious club would handle his case.
