Antoine Griezmann

Costa was not 'always on front of him' and Griezmann scored two goals from further up park than Costa.

Did you even watch it?

Haha Higuain? Jesus fuck.

Check Costa's position for Griezmann's first goal

Yeah I don't actually want Higuain, I was just saying that in my opinion we need to replace Suarez with another striker.

Kane would be perfect as he's also young.

Kane would not be perfect, would not be affordable anyway.

Ok so Griezmann was a yard behind Costa when he scored and on front of him when scored second.

Griezmann had more attempts on goal and more touches in box than Costa also.

All that happened is that he dropped to press more and he is brilliant at that also.

Nope as you can see Costa was in front of Griezmann even for his second goal.

Griezmann'd play "piggy in the middle" around the box with Messi, Coutinho and Rakitik and we'd lose the ball and shit the bed against quality park buses while Lewa type of players'd head the ball into the net.

Lets wait and see but I totally disagree.

No he wasnt and either way there is barely anything in either goal.

As I said Griezmann had more attempts in box and more touches in box than Costa.

Or they'd disappear, like Lewa did.

Yes because Costa didn't touch the ball in this match.

He did touch it. Just Griezmann touched it more in the box, had more shots in box and scored more.

You seem to ignore all that and focus on fact he also is more adept at dropping to help press.

He was clearly on front of Costa when scored that second by the way.

Griezmann plays as a striker, not a 10, no doubt about that. He's more involved and that's a benefit. Just look at his average position. Bare in mind that he tracks back alot.

When you have Messi in your team you need someone who'll be able to play it out wide. Suarez, Higuain, Icardi... they can't do it.

With Griezmann it'll be one of the most fluid attacks out there. Very hard to anticipate since they'll be changing positions all the time.

Not really that different, even today he played behind Costa just like Messi plays behind Suarez.

If we want to replace Suarez I prefer a proper striker like Kane or Firmino.

You talk about Griezmann dropping deep and then suggest Firmino.

He plays deep, not like a real 9, behind Salah and Mane.

yes he did touch it, clearly less than Griezmann.

I don't ignore anything, it's clear as day that Griezmann at Atletico is a second striker and usually Costa makes the run behind the defenders trying to receive Griezmann passes.

In the second goal Costa is clearly on front for the whole time and in the end he has to drop back because he thinks Griezmann would pass to him and he wants to avoid being offside.

I don't watch Liverpool that much so I don't know how Firmino really plays.

I've said 10 times that Kane would be perfect.

No he isnt a 'second striker' you need to watch him more.

Griezmann is on front of Costa when scores second as I said.

Kane would not be 'perfect' and is impossible to get anyway.

Messi and Kane are polar opposites of type of set up they need to produce in.

Kane would score goals but Griezmann is better suited to Messi without a doubt.

You are mentioning likes of Higuain and other players you dont even watch.

He is a second striker, you can download sofascore heatmaps and see that his average position is behind Costa.

Griezmann is behind costa for the whole time except when he scores because Costa wants to avoid being offside. Even Messi sometimes is in front of Suarez when he scores goals, that doesn't mean he is a striker.

Kane would be perfect as he's a striker like Suarez is. Griezmann is not better suited to Messi, he would be another midget and we would as predictable as we are now while with someone like Kane or Lewandowki we could finally after a decade try to cross the ball instead of passing the ball for 90 mins like retards.

He isnt a second striker and would expect his average positon to be behind Costa as he drops deep more than him to help press.

Kane would not be perfect. Would be surprised if you even watch much of him either.

His average position is behind Costa even when Atletico have the ball.

I watch Tottenham and Kane would be perfect. Tall, he can score headers, doesn't fuck up in the build-up and he is a great passer just like Griezmann.
