There's still the winter transfer window...one way or another we have to shed his wages to have any chance at going for Haaland, if there's even a slight possibility of us being able to afford him and compete to sign him

Haaland is not interested coming to this team, forget about him.

Hi, its me..
Sky sports seem to think Saul will happen, you're allowed an extra hour after deadline for paperwork apparently

If not Haaland then someone else.

Point is no matter what or when, Griezmann need to go.

He's playing like a player that earns less than 10m per year when he's on close to 40.

The issue is leaving it until hours before deadline to make a deal and leave it to risk of this happening.

In terms of last minute transfer deals, especially when they rely on wages being removed from the payroll, transfer fees being collected etc... the auditing, LaLiga doing financial checks, and with the 1:4 rule like we have... paperwork for these deals takes days. Not half an hour. Makes me feel like the club put some smoke out there and Fabrizio bit into it.

The movement of money and registration of players according to that money is complex, last minute signings are not like that, they're usually free agent deals etc and especially with our 1;4 rule

This is good news, he has been poor for us and his huge wages were being wasted. We may have not signed a better replacement but its a start on clearing out more deadwood.

Sometimes you have to cut your losses and start again, hopefully investing in young hungry players.
