Making his Roma debut right now. Came in for Totti in the 60th in a close match. Of course, Roma are dealing with injuries and suspensions, including Totti having the flu.

I was always a fan of Sanabria. He's better than both Sandro and Munir are. If he'd have toughed it out he'd almost certainly be with the first team now instead of being loaned to Gijon, although hindsight is 20/20.

ffs why did we let this guy go?

Haha knew it would be minutes before this came up.

He wanted to go and play first team football somewhere to try and get into Paraguay WC if I remember rightly.

No one wanted him to leave he forced the issue.

I know but wouldn't it have been smarter to loan him out or atleast attach a fucking buyback clause

He wanted a permanent transfer I think and the money offered was not bad for an unproven teenager.

Unlikely he will ever be good enough for Barca.

Well he was rated higher than Munir than Sandro when they were still in Juvenil A. Tony is also a year younger and has already scored 5 goals in the league which is quite impressive considering hes playing for Gijon.

He wanted to leave. He actually pushed to be sold, nothing the club could do.

Unlikely he would have accepted a loan or many clubs would have taken him for 6 months.

He wanted the money and first team football. Players at 17 that want that and are barely established in B team can go.

Take the money, let them leave and focus on the ones that want to be at club.
