Juventus will continue to push for Arthur's transfer this week. The Turin side are offering him three times more than what he earns at Bar?a and they know he's willing to listen to the offer. [RAC1, Gerard Romero]

RAC1 is legit afaik

Arthur is done, the board are forcing him out, at least people can't blame EV for the boards failings this time.

I'm fine if they sell him for like over 60m but I don't want that bum Pjanic who's already 30 he's not going to get better.

In before Arthur does an Eto'o and knocks us out in the semis while Pjanic does his best Rakitic impression and the black magic shaman flukes a UCL win securing his legacy and a 6th Ballom Dor.

Dark times ahead dawg.

Since the remodelling of the board, Javier Bordas is the one responsible for the first team. Bordas owns together with his brother through their agency "Grupo Costa Este" more than 20 bars, restaurants and clubs in Barcelona. Among them the most popular ones like Pacha, Opium, Bling Bling ... If Arthur goes partying in Barcelona, Bordas will get whiff of it. He might be the one pushing for Arthur's exit or at least sending warning signals through media.

In the end, Arthur is the one responsible for his own fate. Current reports about his fitness are well and according to his Instagram he has a girlfriend now, so maybe he can leave the parties behind and live more professionally now. There are still enough games left to convince Setien. Media is suggesting that Vidal will start along Busquets and Frenkie though.

I reckon it’s all BS. He won’t move. What Brazilian grows up wanting to play for Juve lol jokes aside I think he feels like he has a point to prove here.

I am thinking the same. Hurting someone's ego can lead to more motivation to prove haters wrong.

Only explainable reason to do this kind of "trade" is that club's finances are so fucked up that they need to do some trickery in order to avoid problems with FFP etc.
However, Arthur was a nobody when he came to Europe and therefore is on low wages. Signing Pjanic will increase salary expenses.

I believe in Arthur and he's the closest we have in all top leagues currently to a Xavi/Iniesta like midfielder. The front office is very unforgiving to anyone that's not an amigo. It would be a huge mistake to let him go to any other team. It would be as huge as Pep letting Eto'o go. If we had a proper front office, player like Arthur, Semedo,Griezmann would thrive here.

Other than good when pressed dont really see him anything like Xavi and definitely not Iniesta.

Closer to like a Jack Wilshere type player.

Xavi was an athlete, as nimble as any player on park and ran for 90 minutes. He could dictate a game in middle of park and in final third. Moved the ball earlier and far more willing to make the riskier pass when available.

Even the pressing of Arthur is over played when compared to Xavi. He is class when pressed and can find a way out.... then more often than not an easy pass that doesnt progress game much.

Xavi would go looking for situations where he would get pressed and come out of it and expose the space or gaps left by those pressing him and turn the balance of the game.

Arthur needs to change a hell of a lot to ever play similar style to Xavi. Starting with him getting fit and focusing off the part would be a start.

For mdifielders that are less athletic and cant run like a Xavi or a prime Modric they need to have something whether it be a great range of passing but dont see much evidence of that either.

Exactly. Everybody acts as if players perform no matter the conditions inside the team. That's why Xavi was almost sold at Bayern in 2008. It took Pep, and a clean-up up make him a commander in midfield.

Players almost never make it alone, if the conditions around them don't put them in a good spot to dominate.

Actually this is a great point. Our current team is terrible for new player's to come in and join. We made even great player like DeJong look worse. Basically every player looks worse with Barca than they look with their previous team.

Our current team is horrible choice for any young player who wants to develop as a player.

Few reasons:

Lack of intensity in practise
Too easy practises
No proper leaders/example
Lack of development plan(a lot of the players has the same weaknesses when they first came)
Seeing other amigos enjoying life and not caring about winning that much anymore.
Aiming to play Pep football instead of modern football. Also,we don't have the intensity to play tikitaka anymore. This team is too old.

For example Semedo. All the tools become world class RB but they didn't develop his last pass and shooting and he is still the same as he was few years ago. If he improved those things, he would be one of the best. Now.. We are thinking about selling him. Mostly because we couldn't improve him. I know it's players fault too but this seems to happen with a lot of young players in Barca. Something's wrong.

We can keep blaming Semedo and other young players but it seems to happen all the time. Some blame should be put on whoever takes care of the player development. It's trash!
