Barca Transfers and Rumors

What are you talking about'

Barca was in the race for Isco and Asensio. Both went to Madrid. Then we "steal" Gomes from them. AMAZING JOB. Is that kind of a player that Barca pursuit maybe?

It does not matter when Barca adds the essential two new players, be patient. It matters who they end up with when the transfer market closes. Ideally, the new guys would join in time for a lot of the pre-season, but the quality is much more important than the timing.

I never said all those players would be signed I am saying that a lot of those players that are doing well for Real are not the type Barca were in for due to having great La Masia players in place of them already.

Reals best signing by far has been Ronaldo. Type of player Barca would never have been in for.

Your argument doesnt hold up to scrutiny either. No one can know.

Having lots of la masia players of great quality frees up a lot of resources to look for quality in the positions where we dont have La Masia quality. Clubs that dont have this luxury would have to rely on their abilities in the transfer market. When we look at the huge amounts of money we have spent while at the same time having most of our team and biggest stars being free La Masia players, its just really bad. Where would we be without Messi, Pique, Busquets today? We are seeing a decline as more and more of the great La Masia generation fades out and we rely more and more on our transfer policies with Song, Cesc, Ibra, Arda, Gomes, Vermaelen types of deals. Is Paulinho next?

When the team was built on La Masia it did free up finances to build best team ever.

That doesnt last for year after year.

Doesnt work like that at all.

Real are not stil counting the cost of signing likes of Ronaldo, Ramos and Marcelo that Barca should have some big advantage now.

Looking at the garbage we have signed over the years in the markets we were in, thats not likely. To claim that we would have signed all those RM players instead if we didnt have Messi, Busi, Iniesta and Pique doesnt hold up to scrutiny.

We have signed Pique from Manchester. It is really mute point to consider him "La Masia" generation. This is just marketing ploy IMO

Not sure what you are talking about at all.

You are saying that Isco and Modric were not necessary. Why did Barca bought Fabregas then?
Modric, Isco, Kovacic, Llorente, Asensio, Ceballos - they would be great for our system.

And now we are bringing Gomes, Arda and fckin Paulinho who are players for Atletico and not Barca.

Pep wanted Fabregas and chased him for a while. With Thiago, Iniesta and Xavi there as well were never moving for Modric.

Barca never really pushed for Isco due to same reason.

We would be after Gomes and Arda and Paulinho type of players anyway, as we see that we push for those types of players when they feel we need to compete.

I don't have the time to go through and make a list of all our signings in the past 10 or so years but with our current regime it seems like our good ones were signed/announced early in the transfer window.
Suarez-- July 11
Rakitic-- June 16
Umtiti-- July 12
Ter Stegen-- May 19
Bravo-- June 25
Neymar-- June 3

Gomes-- July 21
Paco-- august 30
Mathieu-- July 23

These are just a few but I feel as though if a player is going to have an immediate impact we have locked them up early in the transfer window. The longer we wait we will end up signing a bit part player who is a patch instead of a cog. Obviously this year we wanted Veratti as option A. I'm guessing the idiots who run this club don't have a legitimate option B and this is why we're after Paulihno who is an F. The same with Bellerin, he's not available unless for some absurd fee but it seems like they've got no plan B so we'll end up with Cancelo from our feeder club. :(

Those signings as bad as they have been seem to be more on Lucho which is no excuse as I wish they had put Lucho in his place a few times with signings. In particular with the man I scouted you might know... Kroos.

Had the managers before him been in place I think those would have been type of players being looked at at that point.

Gomes had nothing to do with Lucho. It was just fight with Madrid, and we bought him and loose.
