Is this what was needed to sell Coutinho?

According to Express:

Liverpool agree to sell Coutinho

07:00: Liverpool have reportedly agreed to sell Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for £148.5million (160m euros).

But an announcement has been delayed until Liverpool have brought in a replacement for the Brazilian.

That is according to Yahoo Sport and if true, would mark the end of lengthy chase by the Spanish side to sign Coutinho.

The deal would make him the second most expensive transfer of all time following Neymar’s move to Paris Saint Germain.

The report claims the 25-year-old was told by Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group they had finally dropped their public insistence that he would not be sold.

I have a feeling that they cant get rid of the deadwood arda gomes and co. Thats a reason why they didnt sign anyone. Of course their main targets are not available like coutinho but that didnt stop them from buying before so i guess the wages would explode if we cant sell them and buy many more....
That's the problem, because they calculated that much when offers arrived, they always wanted to snub someone. Juve offered 40m for gomes, arsenal for arda, milan for rafinha.. neymar thing kinda shocked everyone, including us, and with that said, there wasn't enough time to react properly. With all the pressure from fans, players, media, and other clubs ofc. Its their fault, i think in winter window we could get rid of some players, but lets see how the season would progress, maybe someone stands out. Idk

A lot of members are against Arda Turan. They forget that he scored 13 goals with 10 assists with his limited play time, last season.

Im not against him, just i got this feeling that since he left atletico his work rate dropped, and as he said, he wanted to play somewhere where he wouldnt track back that much as in atletico. And as we saw last season, he had some quite good games, but, idk

Yes, it is. However we need him. Liverpool knows it and has us by the balls.

Whoever is the President of Barça, we should have a "Shit" list of teams to get even with in the future. We have to send a very clear message that you cannot fuck with us without consequences. We are Barcelona and a power in FIFA, UEFA, and the CL. I'm really serious about this.

My shit list so far are: PSG, Liverpool, and BVB. We should also have a list of friends like Valencia, Sevilla, Las Palmas, Benfica, etc. We should help them whenever we can.

I do not include Real Madrid in the shit list, because they are our arch-enemy. We are supposed to try to screw each other, like Liverpool and ManU, Boca and River, etc. But these idiots?

LOL, WHAT?

No one "fucked with us", we fucked ourselves pretty deep in our anus with mistakes committed by ourselves and ourselves only, leading us to this ridiculous and embarrassing situation.

In fact we are the ones supposedly fucking around by unsettling players from other teams instead of just doing deals in a professional and non-ridiculous way.

PSG paid Neymar's release clause that Barça itself set in his contract. This is how professionals get players from clubs not willing to sell.

Dortmund clearly stated there was a required amount to let Dembele go and Liverpool clearly stated there is no amount they would let Coutinho go.

How is this "fucking with us"? Should they just open their legs to us and sell players for the amount we want because we are almighty Barça? Like a kid in primary school giving his lunch to a bully? What the actual fuck? We are the one fucking around, I repeat.

This "holier than thou" thinking and attitude is exactly what put us in this embarrassing situation. The list we need to create is actually the list of mistakes to never make again and positive attitudes to practice, like humbleness, not to mention a list of retarded incompetent executives to never have running our club again.

So as I suspected Coutinho is increasingly out of the question. Are we actively pursuing other options? What happens to our Plan B or C or whatever?

No concrete actions on Lemar, right?

You got it all wrong. Just because a player, in this case Neymar, has a release clause and PSG is willing to pay it, it does not mean that the deal is done. The player has to agree to it. Neymar is not only getting ~ €30M/year as a salary but also ~€60M/year to become the face of Qatar 2022. This money is not coming out of the PSG payroll; it is coming out of the unlimited oil revenues from Qatar, circumventing all the UEFA fair play rules. If this continues, they will destroy football as we know it and Barça becoming a second tier team. Qatar just threw the player salaries and transfer into the stratosphere. If that is not fucking with us, I do not know what it is.

Where were Liverpool and BVB when this outrage was happening? Did they stand up to PSG and the Government of Qatar? NO!!! They kept quiet taking advantage of the situation. If that is not fucking with us, I do not know what it is.

All I am saying is to put them in our shit list. Is that too much to ask? Today, it is us; tomorrow, it is them. We should keep them in mind. What goes around comes around!

PS: We would not be looking for players, at this ridiculous prices, if the Government of Qatar did not snatch Neymar from us.

Sadly, but i think thats true. Maybe messi realized with upcoming wc that he needs some player in front to get the chemistry working cause he have none of that by now with argentina. Why di maria leo, why not dybala? 😁

I have no idea why Dybala wasn't a priority from the get-go ...

A Messi and Dybala partnership up front - apparently helped Argentina to a 7:1 win in the WC qualifier last weekend ...
