Opposite for me. Even this WC, I only watched his game against Costa Rica where he was great, but heard people say he was quite average in the other two games.
We really need this kind of presence in our midfield, IMO. A bit like Pogba, yea, but without the drama and attitude.

I have mixed feelings. His goals dried up last season but he has a skill set that we lack /lacked.

In today's market I'm not sure if we can pick up someone similar for that price.

We don't necessarily need someone similar, we need a CM that can actually cover for other players and defend instead of just running into the box.

Paulinho is useful on attack but if i had the choice between a physical CM that can defend+pass and one that can score goals i would go for the first option any day. Only problem would be to get that midfielder.

According to RAC1, we are targeting an attacking CM. I have said that before, we are using Arthur + Rakitic as controllers and Coutinho as a LW.

No Pjanić nor Thiago. I would assume and based on the news it is either Milinković-Savić or Eriksen.

I personally believe that Coutinho and Alena are enough as attacking CMs and we should spend on a fast and quality LW. We are lacking speed in our game. Your thoughts?

Yea ive said before i prefer Coutinho as an AM.
But he himself seem to prefer the LW role.

But we need a marque CM or LW.
Neither Arthur or Lenglet are high profile players and unproven.
Heck, i would even take Pogba, atleast hes 25, but he doesnt really have the "The team is more important than me" mentallity.

La Masia is doesnt have near the quality players required.
Atleast not for 2-3 years.
Pretty much anyone with insight on the academy says the same.

We have potentially one of the best generations at Barca B right now, but I doubt that any of them will be ready to step up to the first team for at least another year (O. Busquets) or more (others).
