Which position would you play Kimmich in? @jamrock

From what I have seen and read he's just not very good in the midfield anymore. Not going to be worth that massive salary.

Sell de Jong, bring in kimmich on a free.

He gives us experience in midfield and class, also allows bernal to recover and develop in peace.

He'll offer us everything de jong offers us, but better and more squad flexibility.(RB back up)

Two birds one stone.
All for less than the 30m per year de jong is costing the club, while making some money from the transfer.

Literally flawless

I agree with this. I think he has lost a step and physically not as impressive as he used to be. I guess that goes for every player of Bayern.

How on earth do you recommend selling FDJ and then bring in a 30 year old player that is obviously no better as a midfielder just for a back up role to your upcoming midfielders and right full back, and who is likely to cost you a fortune in both sign on bonus and pensionable salaries.

Where do you people get these "amazing" ideas from??? Lord have mercy!!!!!

So did you watch multiple games of neymar in Brazil or not?
It should have been discerning to you that i dont respond to stupid and infantile questions. Not getting that and continously asking the same stupid question over and over again say a lot about your emotional and thinking capacity.. .. as evidently exhibited in your posts above on selling FDJ and bringing Kimmich, an inferior player for a bench role.

It depends on where does Flick see Gavi.

If he is a Pedri backup, then selling Frenkie won't solve the crowding.

Kimmich will be competing with Pedri & Gavi for minutes in such scenario.

I think Kimmich is still a good player and fairly underrated btw, it is always easy to disregard players during down times of a team.

But our midfield seems crowded atm, if not fir 4 or 5 injuries at the same time.

I'm not FDJ biggest fan but I can't see any sense replacing him with Kimmich. Age, massive wages etc all point to another Pjanic. After yesterdays display, i'm happy with Casado.

I dont think any reasonable person will underrate Kimmich. I think he is a very intelligent and fierce player . I personally love his dynamism, versatility and leadership, and yesterday's match did not diminish any of that. I have been following since Pep's days at Bayern.

.....but then suggeting selling FDJ and bringing him as a back up or to stall the growth of a Pedri,Cassado and Gavi + as a backup for the full back for a shitload of money in salaries and sign on bonus is beyond dumbness.

I think he sees gavi the same way he sees pedri, and they will be competing for the same position.

While de jong will be a DM.

Gavi- pedri
Casado - De Jong.

Replace de Jong with kimmich, who is a better player and a better DM even though neither are the best in the world at it, and he can also give rest to kounde at RB.

because if we sell de jong it's highly unlikely we would not replace him with someone, we can't/won't replace him with a younger because we already have too many of those, so kimmich on a 3+1 would be the best solution.

He would probably get what 18m per season all in, to fill two positions.

I mentioned this before, Kimmich already makes more than Frenkie. If we sign a player who will be 2nd in the list behind Lewy he needs to be undisputable with a clear role.

In a perfect world Kimmich would be a wonderful rotational player in midfield and RB. But for the money he would demand and the status he'd undeservedly want it's a very bad idea.

Better go the cheap option with Mingueza RB and rotate Casado with Bernal if we need money from Frenkie sale.

Gavi is still a month or two away from being a serious first 11 consideration atleast.

For now it's just about getting him minutes and rhythm.

Shit, Im not placing much expectation on him until next season.

What he makes and what he will cost the club are two different things.

Plus he doesn't make more than de jong.

De jong makes 25m per season, all in kimmich 18-20m.

De jong cost the club 30m per season.
Kimmich will be a free transfer who's sign on bonus isn't included in total cost.

So his cost on the box will just be 18m euros.

We bernal won't be ready for another 1.5-2 years
