Barca Transfers and Rumors

What he makes and what he will cost the club are two different things.

Plus he doesn't make more than de jong.

De jong makes 25m per season, all in kimmich 18-20m.

De jong cost the club 30m per season.
Kimmich will be a free transfer who's sign on bonus isn't included in total cost.

So his cost on the box will just be 18m euros.

We bernal won't be ready for another 1.5-2 years
I'm not sure your numbers are accurate. Let's say they are. You want to replace our second highest earner with a player who will also earn a lot.

That amount of money should be for premium players. Kimmich has been on a steady decline now and will be 30 next year. In what way will he warrant those wages and a hefty sign on? He'd be what, 3-4th best CM in the squad?

Besides, Bernal looked very ready against the Liga teams he faced and Casado did well against Bayern. With two players with that kind of level it should be sufficient to rest the best of them while still being competitive.

Kimmich wouldn't even replace Casado/Bernal like for like, it would be like Frenkie, that he needs another balanced CM/DM next to him.

Kimmich would be the perfect Bartomeu signing. Past his prime, absolutely no resale value, huge contract that would run until he's 34/35 and that you will never get rid off, takes away a spot from La-Masia boys.
Hopefully the club learned not to give away huge contracts for players past 30 remembering Pique, Alba, Busquets.

No thank you.

Yes because you can't have an entire Midfield and team filled with kids, and I'm one of the OG, masia fans here

Bernal won't be ready for basically 2 years, if you sell de jong he needs to be replaced with a better player who can fill in If God forbids something happens to casado.

That or de jong renews for less money

Kimmich is totally the wrong player for that in a lot of factors: style, age, money. He would bring experience though, but I wouldn't pay 20m+ a year for experience. Would you?

No to Kimmich. Hungry player (even limited in some aspects) trumps a star more often than not.

Midfield is stacked anyway and another batch from Barca B is knocking at the door.

Can you think of a player who is as good, who can come in fill two positions and cost on zero in transfer fee?, which gives us more flexibility it what we do with the de Jong money?.

Could just flip that money directly into Williams, make up the gap in our Budget due to Barca vision, multiple different ways to use that de jong cash.

Instead to spending 30-40m of it on average sqaud players to fill the roles 1 player could.

If you can then sure, don't get kimmich

Mingueza at RB, 10m. Done.

In midfield I would go with what we have.

If you desperately need experience I'm sure Partey would be a lot cheaper and won't cause a fuss when the youngsters bench him, like they inevitably will regardless if it's Kimmich or Partey.

Also Angel Gomes is interesting, not sure how good he is though and he'll most likely demand starting spot.

We should first see if de Jong is a good fit before we replace him with another similar but older guy.

Partey is a good shout, but if he leaves arsenal, he's going to Saudi to secure the bag.

I reckon if Frenkie stays injury free that we will see an incredible level under Flick.

But let's say we manage to get a 60-70m+ sale, then that would give us ALOT of manoeuvrability.

And Kimmick on 23m/yr cap space (20m wage + 10m signing fee - 3 year contract ) may be a good squad pivot.

For one he is way less injury prone than Frenkie. For second he is used to high octane Flickball. He can play RB when we want more control and possession than what Kounde offers.

Solid move all around UNLESS Laporta does one of his all or nothing cap space binges and has to force someone out last minute.

Are sign on bonus included in gap space? I doubt it, if Mbappe cap hit to Madrid would be ridiculously high, same for haaland at city.

Just wondering

I'm not too sure.

The only thing I do know is Mbappe salary cap is way lower than what he received.

Florentino Shohei Ohtani'd the shit out of that one.
