He isn't a RW backup. Different profile. Copying the tactics of the worst brazilian NT ever, no.
RW is more about that close dribbling 1vs1, where you don't have much space to make runs, which is his biggest strength.

That isn't true. RW and LW are carbon copies in terms of role. Raphinha did what he did now on RW when we provided him with playmaking and didn't tell him to hog the line.
He did better on the left because having Lamine allowed him to do this, while he was bad on LW when we tried the same tactics with Dembele, in few times in his first year.
So, getting someone on LW with such traits, open things for Raphinha on both sides.

On the one hand, I agree with you, and I have been saying this too, we buy Gyokeres in 2025, let him get used to our team and gel, by the time the hard part of the season comes and the CL knockout stage, Gyokeres will be able to take the starting spot from almost 38years old Lewa.
On the other hand, as @khaled_a_d says we don't have the finances, and I do trust his analysis on these aspects of the club.
But then again, we signed Olmo with a much worse financial situation, and I don't think Gyokeres will ask for bigger wages than Olmo while costing us almost the same. 60-70m is his reported price, so who knows?

There are options out there if you have a competent SD to seek them.
Adeyemi is the firs that comes to mind: Can play LW, can play RW, can drift centrally, can score, can run, is intense in pressing.
Nothing marquee, but top quality to complement the ones we have and not be in danger of derailing a whole season if one of Raphina Lamine gets injured

IF you bring someone like Leao or Nico, he will DEMAND to start, and Fatporta would want that too for marketing reasons, etc.
Then Flick has to 1) displease either Raphina or Olmo who have been stellar so far, and don't deserve the bench
2) tweak his system that doesn't involve and out and out touchline LW anymore

Exactly what we DON'T need.
Player who is not winger, who is slow, and who will not be threat to oposition on counter attacks, and who can't play Rapinha's role.
We need Nico/Leao type of player.
Baena is another Pedri,Olmo,Fermin type of player which we alredy have
