After the 4-1 win against Valladolid, FC Barcelona defender, Marc Bartra appeared on the 'El Marcador' show on Barça TV to speak about how he has started the last three games, his form and things that the 22-year-old still has to improve.
“Playing is a reward for all the years of work I have put in here. It’s a reward for my past record and right now my confidence is high, but not too high”, commented Marc Bartra, adding that “any professional is calmest when he knows he’ll play, but all I can do is work hard in training and do the very best I can whenever I get a chance”.
On the first team manager, Gerardo Martino, he said “his rotations keep us all alert. It means we are all ready and it’s not just 11 players that can win titles.”
Bartra, who made 58 good passes against Valladolid and won 12 balls, also spoke about his new team-mate, Neymar. “He is one more player, he’s settled in well and I get on well with him. He does on the pitch what he does in training, and that’s daring of him”, he said.
Finally, Bartra commented that his aim for 2013/14 “is to continue being happy and ambitious … I can improve all areas of my game, even in those that right now are my greatest virtues."
