Haven't seen any names the whole summer, and I spent a lot of time on football twitter every day...

As I said go back a few pages .. there were quite a few .

I'm surprised by the Lucas Paqueta links. I know he has improved alot at Lyon and was a crack in Brasil before the failed AC stint, but Giant Bernard for Packet just feels wrong.

I don't see how Pep wins PL , not to mention CL.

Did he make any signings this summer aside Haaland ?

Alvarez is pretty good, I think he'll actually overtake Grealish and start at LW in no time. Phillips is a good backup for Rodri, and Cucurella soon most likely, a good upgrade on Zinchenko, so they won't be as reliant on Walker anymore (and Cancelo can play his natural RB role that way too).

We should be getting Paqueta ourselves maybe. Bernardo is approaching 30 and is pretty slow as it is. Not my preferred signing to be honest.

Manchester City are looking to beat Arsenal to the signing of Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta.

Manchester City have an interest in Lucas Paqueta, and are looking to beat fellow Premier League club Arsenal to his signature. Paqueta has been highlighted as a possible Bernardo Silva replacement should the player join Barcelona, and City will look to bring him in.

Ok, first time I see him linked, and it's almost August.

How many chances are this is happening, when we have only a month left, and
1) De Jong still refuses to go
2) Pep would not be happy to let a key player leave just days after the season has started
3) and the most likely replacement (Paqueta) is many many levels below Bernardo, despite his potential improvement under Pep

Laporta and Padremany have surprised us all during this window, but I am not giving more than 20% right now for this to happen...

30 days is an eternity in football ..
The Bernardo Silva story has been gathering momentum since yesterday

Bernardo is still 27 (soon to be 28) though, he can still give us 5 world class years, and until then Gavi will hopefully become truly world class and ready to be our starter week in week out alongside Pedri. Cause right now he's not, at least not yet. Bernardo is also another statement signing (that gives us one per every line) and an injection of world class into our team, just like Kounde in defense and Lewa in attack. Bernardo is perfect to take some pressure off our midfield teenagers for a few years. For under 100M (if the 80M rumours are true) he's a no brainer honestly.

We already got Kessie in the Paqueta age and quality range (good, and maybe even has potential for world class, but not there yet, and signed more as a differential to offer us something different). Bernardo is a sure thing, just like Lewa and (hopefully) Kounde.

As for Pedri and Gavi, we sometimes forget these are still 19 and 17-year olds we're talking about. Yes Pedri has thankfully already shown real quality to even be ready to start for us every week, but not Gavi (not for me at least). And a Bernardo-Pedri midfield link up (which is why Xavi wants Bernardo the most for) does sound pretty juicy.

Yeah, because Pep was winning the CL non stop with him

he is close to winning it...

Think Liverpool will win Pl and Pep/City will give everything to win the cl, now or never. They also bought Kalvin Phillips from Leeds, defence midfield. Don't know how good this guy is.
