Best team ever?

Is the current Barca the best team ever? I'd definitely say it has a strong argument for being the best club team ever, since it's basically one of the best national teams ever + one of the best players ever.

Best club team and team in general ever, IMO better than Spain just because of Messi. But Spain is the best national side ever, better than Brazil 1970. And off course, Messi is the best ever. Very happy to live in this era !

2010/2011 Barca was way better, maybe even the best team ever. Pique, Mascherano and Puyol were all strong, midfield strong as ever, Messi-Villa-Pedro destroyed every defense they faced, and even Valdes was ballin!

Barca's current current team has won all but 2 of its La Liga games. MVP was awesome, but so is Iniesta-Messi-Pedro with Fabregas in midfield. Mascherano's not playing well, but Pique and Puyol are doing pretty well. Not to mention Messi and Iniesta have been better than ever this season.

Not saying the current team is definitely better, just saying a good argument can be made in the current team's case.

Milan in the early 90's was damn strong as well, as was Ajax in the early 70's and mid 90's.

This season is probably the 2nd worst since the pep era began

The numbers of this years team are surely great (except the goals conceided of course), but we haven´t dominated the clasicos the way we dominated them in 2010/2011 and these games are the real tests, whether you win against a bottom table league team 2-1 or 5-0 is pretty much irrelevant, if you can´t beat Madrid you can´t call yourself the best team in spain. I also enjoyed the way we played much more in 10/11. Defense, midfield and attack were in perfect balance and everybody seemed to carry their weight. We didnt depend on Messi that much back then, with Villa and Pedro healthy, on form and able to score at any given moment. Xavi was on his absolute peak and Iniesta was already as good as he is today.

The squad is deeper this year, but the starting 11 in the 2010/11 season was superior.

No it would not have, Arsenals invincible was great but not that great, it was a time when Suggar Daddy Club 1 just started ruining football and hence not yet that strong and Man Utd was at a transition period after Beckham was sold off, Teams like AC Milan would have beaten them pretty confident, heck Arsenal faced Bayern the season after with the pundits and fans getting all arrogant and expecting Arsenal to win comfortablyonly to be humbled over the two legs.

As for best side ever tag, One more CL to equal AC Milans feat of the 90s two more and then you could argue Barca are the best team ever
