Borussia Dortmund

So you too rode the chuchu-train of success as a young bloke, when everybody thought BVB was going to the moon.
See, I felt repelled back then by certain things (neon bright yellow kits, several fugly SoBs like Chapuisat, Möller, Cesar etc., the fact that EVERYBODY was a BVB fan at my elementary school, the fact that the whole club seemed to ooze work-class instead of actual class), which made me turn towards Bayern (I was a huge fan of Mehmet Scholl, who was the only artist among all German footballers back then for instance). ;)

Well, I was in elementary school as well at the time. Lived about 30 mins from Dortmund and BVB was pretty popular with some of my classmates. Though we did have some Bayern fans as well. They were a minority though. I was on the train of success though before BVB had won the CL against Juventus. ;)

Rummenigge the Big Mouth just can't shut up. I want BVB to defeat Bayern in every occasion this season. So snobbish. :puke:

The chief executive of the Bundesliga champions insists the latest financial reports show the North Rhine-Westphalia side are copying their strategy, but aren't as good
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has taken another shot at Borussia Dortmund, claiming they have "copied" the Bavarian giants.

Dortmund have been unable to match Bayern in the league in each of the last two seasons, finishing 25 and 19 points behind them, respectively.

The latest financial reports from Dortmund show the club have received a boost in revenue after taking on two new major shareholders, while Bayern have taken on a total of three new companies since February last year.

And Rummenigge believes this is just another example of the North Rhine-Westphalia club "copying" the Bundesliga champions, insisting they are merely a cheap imitation.

"That's the biggest compliment Borussia Dortmund could ever give Bayern Munich," he said. "But it is just like in real life: each copy is not as good as the original."
The Bundesliga kicks off on Friday with Bayern Munich hosting Wolfsburg, before Borussia Dortmund face Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

Kalle's gonna Kalle.

Oh Kalle  At this rate I don't think their "Abteilung Attacke" was much worse when Hoeneß was still there.

At least Mr. H's statements were coherent most of the time and always had a certain entertainment value. Rumgezicke is just being a dumbass.

With Uli, it always felt kinda funny when he said these things. Killer-Kalle however is just a slimy, disgusting, arrogant fuck. Even I'm beginning to hate him for running his mouth all day long.

This. Hoeness was funny whe he said those things, that was the key distinction.

Dare I ask how Ciro played? Sounds like a poor effort from everyone all around.

Not good, for a variety of reasons. On the team level, he needed to track back to midfield a lot because the Leverkusen defense played absurdly high and Dortmund couldn't get a foot in the door in midfield. Needless to say, being part of the midfield build up isn't his forte and he played accordingly bad. On the individual level, his pass accuracy of approx. 69 % reflects the problems he has in the role he was forced into. So yeah, there's that.

Having said that, the match is no real indicator for the future since Leverkusens gameplan isn't what Dortmund is usualy up against. Nevertheless, Forwards/Strikers usually have problems clicking into Klopp's game as seen for example with Lewandowski who needed basically a full year to get it right there. And I expect no difference here, his first year will be rough.

True, Lewandowski was really bad in his first season at BVB. Lost almost every single duel, stopped the ball 2 meters away, couldn't find his position and aimed for the sky with his shots...
