Leverkusen has been completely crap so far, not same Neverlusen like last season
They will be more motivated for cl

Or they were an onehit wonder.Leverkusen has been completely crap so far, not same Neverlusen like last season

Seems strong in what aspect? They haven't created a single good goal opportunity today, bar the Gnabry post maybe. The only goal they scored was a long distance banger from Pavlovic.Bayer toothless and seem to have no answers against high press. Bayern seems strong. Wonder how Flicks suicidal football fare against them.
That can be attributed to Leverkusen's drop off not some Bayern upriseLeverkusen played for the draw and got it but compared to last season where they genuinely outclassed Bayern, they look quite inferior to them this time around.
They have gone back to pasting cannon fodder too though. Been a while since they did that. That can be attributed to Leverkusen's drop off not some Bayern uprise
Most people said that Birdy. That Leverkusen were inferior tonight and it's looking like they might not be the team they were last season. No disgrace in that as they don't have the resources Bayern do. But yeah, Bayern were dominant from the parts I saw.
I understand. I think they come at that from a less scientific POV and a more sentimental one i.e. going away to Bayern is a tough game, they'll have to ride their luck at some point, if they dig in they can get something. Whereas you and I just look at the performance. But of course grit and determination are a part of football as well as the metrics and they did well to stay in a compact shape even if they did gift Bayern some chances. Many people said Leverkusen got the draw they went for in that game.
They could have lost 4-1 there. Zero credit for them.
That said, I don't think they are 1season wonder, and Alonso is a top young coach.
But they could not possibly sustain their last season's run.
Last season, they CRAZILY overperformed their metrics. Wins deep in injury time was a symptom of that.
Exactly what I was saying. As in all the could offer was to sit back and try to cling on for a draw because Bayern were far better.I understand. I agree - prevalence of last minute wins are a bad sign and poor predictor of future dominance.
They're not a one-season wonder but it's very very difficult for any German team to sustain parity with Bayern. I do expect them to fall back into the pack with Dortmund, Leipzig, maybe Stuttgart et al.
Yeah I know you weren't mate, I guess Birdy meant people away from this site really.Exactly what I was saying. As in all the could offer was to sit back and try to cling on for a draw because Bayern were far better.
Wasn’t trying to paint it as some Leverkusen tactical masterclass.
