This evening, coinciding with the Barça - Real Sociedad match, the players will be greeted by a remodeled and renovated dressing room tunnel. The modern space, which features Blaugrana symbolism, highlights the Club's identity
FC Barcelona's four Champions League winning teams are also highlighted
During the summer months the Camp Nou underwent a series of renovation projects that the players, press and fans will be able to see this Sunday. Among the projects is the improvement of the Camp Nou tunnel that leads from the dressing rooms to the pitch. The tunnel, which is one of the main attractions in the Tour Camp Nou Experience, has been remodeled to highlight the Club's history and identity.
To the pitch surrounded by images
The main walkway that takes the players to the pitch of the Camp Nou is completely different. The once dark walls are now illuminated and feature giant photos of the Camp Nou faithful, the FC Barcelona crest, the ever famous ‘Més que un Club’ slogan, and portraits of the first team players.
The four Champions League titles
At the start of the tunnel, the Club pays homage to the four FC Barcelona teams that won the Champions League. Thus, there are four pictures of the teams - Wembley 1992, Paris 2006, Rome 2009 and Wembley 2011 - posing with the European trophy.
Welcoming the rival team
The opposing team and the referee tunnels and access points have also been updated. The most notable change from last year is a giant banner that reads ‘Welcome’ in Catalan, Spanish and English with a full Camp Nou as a back drop. The banner is situated where the opposing team’s motor coach usually drops off the players at the stadium. From here the opposing team and the referee take to the tunnel that leads to their respective dressing rooms. The tunnel has been painted with the Blaugrana colours.
