he is back to the cesc that will create and may score, but does little else. not involved in the over all play.

Sometimes I just really don't get posts here. Cesc traveled back and forth between a deeper holding role and a more forward attacking role, and did both very well. He was all over and along with Busquets, just about completely neutralised Fernandinho and Toure, whose combination I suspect is why Tata had Cesc dropping deeper at times.

Also, in a match that was more dominating than the scoreline, there were quite a few errant passes, yet Cesc had the least I recall. (Excluding Iniesta and Messi of course, who were in another league).

Anyways, just my thoughts.

A good return. Considering he's a midfielder, his goal tally is impressive.
