Here's a question for the older guys on the forum, maybe Sunny or Beast will know. When Barça lost to Milan in Athens in 1994 Franco Baresi was suspended, but did he lift the trophy or did Tassotti as the on field captain get the honour? The thought occurred to me that if Barça retains the CL not only will we become the first side to do so under the current format but Puyol would equal Beckenbauer's record for the most European cups a captain has lifted.

That's a good point, but with Txigo being out of contention for the CL I think he'd be almost certain to start. I think I'll worry about team selection issue for the final if and when we get there though!

Been watching the Chelsea game, the Man U game was crap. Porto are playing really well, both teams have had chances, Porto probably passing the ball better though. You wouldn't know they lost players this summer. Guarin has been awesome.

The Reckoner
only probably seen 10 minutes of that and Porto barely saw the ball, apart from the Big Green striker doing some sick skill.
