PSG has just spent 91M on Renato, Vitinha, Ruiz & Soler.
Their midfield is simply shit, this has nothing to do with Messi or Neymar or aged Ramos etc.
Only Verratti is good midfielder there and even him is a bit overrated at times. They can barely escape pressure.
Campos was talked about as some great SD, but man imagine if he signed one of Caicedo or Enzo for that midfield. Heck even Zubimendi would have been upgrade over what they have.
They have taken wrong steps in summer IMO, after getting it right in 2021 with Donnarumma, Hakimi and Mendes. Strengthening their FB and replazing old GK. Had they improved midfield they would have been a top 3 team in the world.

Ruiz and Renato for once, are far from shit mate
A decent coach could have worked wonders with them, and with Veratti of course

It's the same old argument: that for PSG woes none of the sacred cows is responsible, it's only the others at fault.
Have we read the same shitty take time and time again for the Barca debacles in Europe under EV? Not Messi's or Suarez's fault, never! it's all the others
Time has already told that this was not true of Barca, and looking at PSG some years back, you can legitimately claim they are becoming progressively worse the last 3 years

Fabian Ruiz is average and Renato Sanches is one of those players that has one big game once in a blue moon which gets everyone hyped up. Neither of them would start for any other top team.

PSG have three problems:

- A mediocre midfield apart from Verratti
- Probably need to drop one of Neymar and Messi for more balance, probably the former as Messi has better chemistry with Mbappe.
- Struggling to attract elite level forwards despite their money

Their project is really on the verge of crumbling. Even if Neymar and Messi leave I doubt they'll be able to attract the forwards needed to build that attack. Mbappe isn't going to play the ball to himself and score.

No elite level/elite talent forward want to join PSG, and their strategy when it comes to signing midfielders is insanely stupid lol. It's Barto level bad waste of resources. Especially considering they booted out Paredes who isn't anything special, but much better than Soler and Ruiz for what PSG need. Control and someone to break the line.

Agreed. Also the loaning out Paredes was a dumb move by PSG.

At first that Vitinha chap was looking decent, but he's as shit as the likes of Renato and Ruiz. EL level bums that didn't even have an interesting career before joining.

PSG would have DeJong, if Barto didn't throw checkbook at him.

In hindsight it was good for Barca. Without DeJong our midfield would have been crap for years.

Donnarumma with his usual CL shocker. What a surprise. PSG will be looking to replace him if he keeps costing them goals like this.

Donnarumma been pretty bad all season. I wonder if he is chilling on a beach somewhere and he sent his brother to play.

Would the Qatari's notice?

The truth is that no coach (with a functioning brain) would want a team with Mbappe+Neymar+Messi (35) in attack, or rather, forced by the president to play with these 3 in attack.

Destroyed 3 WC coaches already: Emery, Tuchel, Pochetino
I understand why Galtier - who had coached only small clubs - would accept the job, but Pochetino was dump to accept the job after seeing what happened to the other two. He had much more to lose, as happened

Any coach who walks into this job, knowing that he will be forced to set his team to babysit for grany Messi, grany Neymar, and egomaniac Mbape, and having to deal with the Doha hierarchy - who think that being superstarts will win them CL, would be quite dump and wouldn't respect his career at all

Don't forget Soler, who in my opinion is even worse than Vitinha and Ruiz. Thank god those links of us with Soler didn't pan out.
