BTW, This is not CL:
Celtic - Slovan, Sparta - Salzburg, Bologna - Shaktar, Sporting - Lille, Brest - Sturm Graz tomorrow
WTF is this? This is not even EL level, this is Conference level all the way..

The filthy bureaucrats that control football threw the bait of more Inter-City s and Milan-Liverpool s at group stage to pass through the back door all that crappy level that no one wants to watch.
Count how many such games there will be this season.

The point is: everyone wanted to see ONLY the City-Inters and the Milan-Liverpools, BUT NOT THE REST
Super-league can't come soon enough...

Speak for yourself.

I've watched Sporting-Lille instead of Liverpool.

Yesterday I've watched Brighton-Wolves rather than City.

To be fair Bologna and Brest earned their spot as much as Girona did. The bigger issue is that once these type of sides have a good season, they then get sodomized by the rest of Europe and arrive at the next year's tournament crawling.

In pain.

Crying.

Leaving a trail of blood.

Not a fan of VAR but imagine if we had it during their 3 peat
It wouldn't have been a 3 peat then. But the sad part is they finally managed to tame VAR in CL, last season being the living proof they adapted to it in Europe too, not only in Spain.

You can watch whichever game you like, but this is not CL level encounter

SuperLeague will erase all these games

On a positive note, you don't have to watch those EL matches. The big games are spread out thoughtfully so it's pretty easy to choose the 'big' game to watch. Not like they have crammed Barca-Bayern, Madrid-Pool and City-PSG on same day.

For a neutral a gameday consisting of Dortmund-Barca and Juve-City might be 'hard' to choose from. Overall the scheduling is good and you can avoid watching your Young Boys and Brests as long as your team don't face them.

Its hard to enjoy the stakes when you compare this oversized group to groups of last season like Dortmund, PSG, Milan, Newcastle or Bayern, Inter, Barca, Plzen the year the before.

Need to see how this shapes up once we hit the half way point of games and whether it is a flop or not.

The only thing I'd say that would make it more interesting is if the preliminary playoff round was over just one leg with home advantage to those who finished 9-16.

But nope, UEFA has to add two extra games instead of one.

All KO stage should be single games imo.

Barca would probably have 3 or 4 more CLs by now, lol.

Yep.

But for the preliminary KO extra game especially, it should be short and sweet, and give extra incentive to finish in the top 16.

Top 8 already bypass that stage which is reward enough.

IMO.

The guy is the real deal!!
Will be better than Nico Williams in 1-2 years and his projection is to become better than the likes of Leao

Have posted about him recently in the Bundesliga thread

Unfortunately, with him playing at Dortmund, and not leaving earlier, now his price will rise a lot

feel also, his ability to cut inside and to score is phenomenal

he is Dortmund's new golden boy but he will probably cost 100m after this season
