Premier league the strongest league in Europe. No question.

Liverpool could not even afford to rest players whereas we playing in a mickey mouse league rested almost our whole starting 11 and still got demolished.

Possible to have 2 English teams in CL final and Europa League final. Ridiculous.

Barcelona would be fighting fro top 4 spot in EPL and City and Pool would both get 110 points at least in LaLiga.

The less said about Serie A and Bundesliga, the better.

How'd you work that out? We won 4 games out of 6 against English teams in the Champions League..... and our squad isn't even that good.

Yes. Only barca plays so many games and gets fatigued. We had a 6-day rest while lpool had a tough game for the weekend and they destroyed us.
Enough with the excuses. They are an overpaid bunch of lazy bastards, long overdue for a good telling-off by the fans and by a real coach that will shuffle the complete dressing room.

Few points to make
1) Liverpool has a better bench, so they still had quality players who didn't play the first leg to bring in
2) age does matter. The older you are, the longer it takes for your body to recover
3) the fatigue I'm talking about is not something that is solved in one game
We have been tired for a while now. Just go back to the games we played in la liga before the first Liverpool match.
I kept thinking that we were just taking it easy but then now realize the team has been tired for a while.
This accumulated tiredness and fatigue is chronic, and it's due to paying too many games season after season
This is the same thing that happened to Madrid this season , although worse.

With all the money pouring into the PL it was only a matter of time, at the same time the PL is now less competitive then La Liga because the difference between the big 6 and the rest of the PL is massive.
La Liga has had a reverse evolution, big teams weaker but more competitive overall.

U sir not have watched the premier league. Wolves everton crystal palace watford are incredible teams. Klopp even said that some of the players would Start for any Team in Germany

Fullham just go relegated spending 100 Million Pounds

We have more money than both spurs and liverpool and la liga is not more competitive either

disagree, Tottenham wasn't one of the 2 best teams in the CL, they overachieved tremendously, outplayed by barça in the group, and by City and Ajax for the majority of QF abd SF, even liverpool had there up and downs but Liverpool and City are probably the 2 best teams in the world

Well, it's not about how you start but how you finish.
Totenham took a little while to get their $h*t together, but came together in the end.
The Totenham we played against wasn't as good as this Totenham.
For instance, Davidson Sanchez was their starting defender, and he proved to be a terrible defender as time went on .
Barca was also a better team back then, mainly cause they weren't as tired as they were by the end of the season
I don't think we should hold against Totenham the fact that they weren't that good when they started.
Coming back and being outplayed and still winning is also a legit way to win matches.

Yes we do, but they are not too far behind. Overall the Premier League is astonishingly rich and like I kept saying over the years, this financial might was going to show at some point. The only surprise is that it took so long.

Also, we totally outclassed Spurs when we faced them in the GS.

Agreed.

Klopp said Everton (8th place) would get Champions League football in any other league. They have the likes of Richarlison, Gomes (loan), Bernard, Digne, Gueye, Siggurdson. Good team. Wolves have Moutinho, Neves, Patricio, Jimenez, Jota.. Leicester have Vardy, Maddison, Pereira, Tielemans, Ndidi..

These 3-4 teams (and Watford) are all around FC Porto, Benfica, Lyon, Roma, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Getafe, Valencia level. I.e. Same level as top teams from lesser European leagues and same level as the 4th best teams from Italy, Spain, Germany.

I think Wolves or Everton would finish 4th in Spain, 4th in Germany and 4th in Italy.

It'll be the most one-sided CL final since 2015. Pochettino has one win and one clean sheet against Liverpool since he took the job.

Good game Spuds. Savor it while you can, but I fear this is the end of the line.

If you are making the case that the premier league is harder due to smaller teams having wealth, which means teams are better prepared for Europe, i could see that angle. But our fiscal means exceeded the other semi finalists comfortably

Small EPL teams are very weak and very easy to beat, despite their immense (relative) wealth. Results clearly demonstrate this. But, EPL top 6 is by now the strongest in Europe by far.

Out of the semi-finalists, only Ajax can be considered as a poor team. Spurs have more revenue than Juve/Dortmund/Atleti. Liverpool even more. As for us, we have wasted immense sums on Coutinho & Dembele, our squad is also overpaid. Hopefully Dembele proves me wrong next season, Coutinho is a lost cause by now.

Of the six wealthiest teams in the world in terms of revenue only one (us) made it to the semis. Money is only one factor if invested correctly

Spurs actually have a lower wage bill than Juve, Atletico, Dortmund etc. and they didn't sign anyone in the summer either.
