Right before this match Dortmund found their form back, 4-1 win in Freiburg and over 3xG

Also Kovac will be on fire as Hansi was the guy who replcaed him at Bayern to win sextuple....

Dortmund will give us hell. Believe me. These matches are never easy and our track record in the last 10 years hasn't been inspiring.
If we don't play we'll we will be beaten.

Still recall Bayern replacing Kovać with Flick after 3M when Bartomeu let us continue to slide

He was Kovac's assistant coach mate. It's not like Bayern went to search a top coach on the market and decided on Flick. He was given the interim job as they were mid-season.

They just got lucky for him to be successful. And to top it all off they made him leave after a sextuple season.

Vamos equipo!!!!!
I believe!!!!!!!
4 days rest + at home + we have Flick as manager
😁😁😁

It won’t be as easy as we thought it would after the RO16 last month, but I am still optimistic and believe we will win with a decent 2-3 goal margin. This squad doesn’t joke around when it comes to UCL, we have seen that, 9 games unbeaten in the UCL, best run since 2015. This year is special and we can all feel it

It’s a shame pessimism has consumed the fanbase of this club, you go back 9-10 years ago and people are way more optimistic than the fanbase of these days. Despite being unbeaten this year, some people are still doubting the squad and Flick, but I think that it’s not time to be pessimistic, we have Dortmund now and we should be sure that no matter what the squad will do anything possible to win this game. Just believe!!!

It's not just Barca fans.

All fanbases are more reactionary and pessimistic today than 10 years back.

Don't worry. Most people believe in Flick and the squad.

You guys will win against Dortmund.

Not advancing would be a massive, massive failure. For all the bravado under Flick we would be at Xavi's worst League average (points) and a QF exit against an average team. No excuses.

Yes it would. Losing to current Dortmund won't be acceptable.

Losing to Bayern or Inter in the semis would be more acceptable.

Piss off  He didn't

He was realistic about our finances, nothing more, nothing less. If you give me the quote I will concede.
His exact words were in the press conference before Almeria:

"The fans should know that the situation is very difficult and that we will struggle to be competitive economically. We are not in the same conditions as other clubs with better financial fair play. But this doesn't mean that we won’t try to achieve our goals."

Obviously he didn't say it literally, but that's what he meant. His overall vibe in the press conference was like he was already looking for excuses why he wouldn't win any trophies next season.
The point is, we didn't need to compete economically with other teams, as we had already a squad good enough to win the treble, as Flick shows this season. Xavi didn't really trust in the current players and lost the trust of Laporta in return.

So yeah, you can translate the meaning with simplier words: "Don't expect too much next season, because we're broke". Flick came, said he loved the squad from the first day, didn't moan once about the financial situation and the results we see today.
