And Frenkie still out.

Alonso will accompany Xavi at the press conference, meaning he will start.
Also read reports that Eric, Roberto, Pedri and Raphinha were coming in.

Think the XI is pretty obvious.

ter Stegen
Roberto, Eric, Christensen, Alonso
Gavi, Busi, Pedri
Raphinha, Lewy, Dembele

We've come a long way, but still gotta field Roberto and Alonso FB pairing in an important CL match away from home.

I'd take a draw in Milan.

Looking how inconsistent most of Barca players are all results are possible imo.

Some tactics:

1) How we sHOULDN't play:
Inter-Barca.jpg
Classic 4-3-3 in the rigid way Xavi implements it.
Problems: No space against 3-5-2 other than the fullbacks, which will have nowhere to pass as attackers will be locked
Danger:
Inter-Barca_Counter.jpg
This.
A possible steal in the md creates immediately a counter situation for Inter (with their wingbacks released) of 5 against 5 at the back

2) How we should play IMO:
Inter-Barca_alt.jpg
3 atb in essence, with the nominal RB being a third CB, and the LB advanced (something that happens often under Xavi in possession. But now it should happen in and out of possession)

Pros: Nullifies the counter threat from Inter: a ball loss will result in 3 v 4 or 5 v 7 (including wingbacks) at the back, which still gives us numerical superiority.
Pros: Gives us better structure to break them down, with their 3at pinned by two attackers and our interiors changing position in between their md to find space and release through balls to 3 or 4 options (2 strikers, and one or two wingers depending on angle)

Pretty sure that's how Xavi would want to play but won't be able to without Kounde, Araujo and FDJ.

What would be your XI with who's available?

Not a fan of reacting to Inter.. just play a 433.

There is no rock-paper-scissor principle in football.

Not many options, but I wouldn't play Roberto

Marcos Alonso - Eric - Christensen at the back
Balde LWB, Dembele or Raphinia RW

Then the md trio that will start, Lewa up top of course, and a questionmark remains if Raphnia or Dembele can be effective in the half-space.
Previous games have shown they are NOT.
Hence, I will be more daring and drop Raphinia and go for Ansu

Bit nervous for this one tbh. A draw wouldn?t be the end of the world but I?d rather finish them off asap.

Just dont fuck it up. Draw would not be an end of the world, but win could give us much needed peace of mind.
