Kounde, Casado and Cubarsi all out.

First two def rested. Cubarsi would say is 50/50.

The win and positions in table according to some reports are worth up to 5m.

Edit: scrap that Kounde plays

Thought Balde and Kounde looked knackered last game in second half.

I wonder if we might see a lot of Pedri deeper and them using FDJ to try run in behind again as did a lot v Valencia.

He is by far the most mobile of those CMs and Pedri can beat the press.

Not all the time and would be balanced of who sits and who goes but runners off the ball can be big thing vs these teams

Need Gavi, Raph and either Frenk or Pedri crashing the box a lot.

If Barca win it will be in large part down to their off the ball work against this system.

Big test for Pedri-FDJ-Gavi midfield. Let's see how it works. I think we will miss someone who does the dirty work.

Gavi should be at CAM. Otherwise this could end badly.

I wouldn't be so sure with Casado. He had a slow start 2025, while Frenkie regains his form slowly but surely. I can see that Flick values them equally for now and if Frenkie continues to perform well, he could take Casado's spot if he doesn't regain his first half season form fast.

I agree that Casado has been off it for a while and think Flick wants to see FDJ at highest level can get him to and how can play with Pedri Gavi vs Casado.

Dont think it means FDJ is yet ahead of Casado and will be a lot of rotation for all of them in the next month or so.

Some folk seem to be acting like Barca are secure with Casado.. they havent been and he has been bullied and skinned a fair bit recently leading to chances and goals.

Its for Casado or FDJ to prove who brings more. Same with Gavi/Fermin and Olmo if continues to be registered.

The most nailed of the midfielders is currently Pedri... his role is crucial in team to take ball from back and try to break lines. FDJ is about the only other one that can do it if Pedri is rested missing.
