This was a decent brawl, but nothing special, the ref was quite modern. There were 2 close calls for breaking a leg, esp at Rodrygo but nothing more. Uruguay with a permisive ref can make you piss blood but that Darwin Prize Nunez is very poor at finishing.
Endrick is a bit too young for this kind of brawlers but did decent. Uruguay is just too good in full formation.

Now, without the chief brawler I have doubts Uruguay can win it, but still they have a very well oiled team with decent talent that can fight it out.
And this style is classic for Uruguay and won them lots of silverware

just noticed he has a bit of arrogance about him lol.
Looks like it's a new CV requirement for Madrid players. Güler yesterday also screamed arrogantly at one of his teammates because he wanted a better pass. And we don't even need to mention Bellingham, Mbappe and Vinicius. Gonna be a lovely Madrid bunch next season. They'll gonna make it real easy to hate their guts.

How was Endrick? Does he deserve to start for Brazil or are they trying to force things?

Very poor perfomance from Endrick so its more like trying to force things.. Without Neymar, Brazil are Portugal with Ronaldo.. Pathetic and lame

So, heard Uruguay - Brazil was just nonstop fouling, interruption of play, and few chances.

Euros might be boring, but Copa doesn't sound much better to watch either.

The other game was probably fun though.

Yes, pretty much that. It was Sunday league level, including technically.

Yesterday's game was probably the weakest in terms of quality so far in this competition's knockout stage, but the energy and the fast paced play that was displayed in the match was missing in the Euros.

Anyone that knows football should know that Brazil and Uruguay don't have players who play pretty passes. Both teams rely too much on the transition game.

To have an effective transition game you actually need to play pretty passes. The "transition game" that was displayed in this match was like kids in the backyard hoofing and pinging ball back and forth. There were hardly any coherent attacks in that game.

Obviously, you would have the best of 2 worlds. No where have I mentioned what they displayed was an effective transition game.

As I mentioned in the post above, neither team don't have players to make those pretty passes.

So you are new to South America. It was a decent game just two deadly interventions, usually I expect 4 in this kind of battle.

Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay, Argentina are brawlers. Uruguay is the mother of all brawlers. Then Brazilians have their guys too, but usually the stars are more porcelain.
What do you expect from Uruguay? Playing fancy possession gets your feet broken hence you want a more direct approach.
That's why Messi was a missfit for years, nobody wanted to play like him.
