How many goals, dives and PKs will Ronaldo score tomorrow against Ludogorets? 3? 4? 5?

Will he break Messi's 74 goal record?

The excitement was in breaking Raul's recording and Messi got there first. If he surpasses Messi tomorrow ESPNFC and BBC Sports will have a field day

And Messi will score hattrick against PSG to take the record back. Win-Win scenario. Ronaldo gets his record for a day. Messi gets the record in the end and extends his "Breaking Records with Hattricks" run. And we win against PSG.

:lucho: It all makes sense.

I was just checking how many goals Ronaldo has in the Spanish league ever since he got here and he has 200 or so, Messi has a little bit more but on more games played... Pretty amazing, some of his stats compare to Messi, who we see as miles above but statistically speaking in some areas they are pretty close or even. No wonder for the comparison between the two.

If someone actually watches the games the difference is huge, Ronaldo's play is mediocre, he just scores a lot, while Messi's play is the best ever and scores a lot, the equality ends at the stats.
How many penaldo's of those 200 by the way? 50/60?

46

How many penalties in Messi's 202? 40/50?

In la liga, since cr joined rm, it's 46 converted penalties to cr, 25 to Messi. 32 in total for Messi, with the period before cr joined rm.

Wonder how many were actual penalties as well. A lot were surely like the one on the weekend.

Well at the end of the day it depends on what an individual likes watching, not any of us can question why people like CR more just like nobody could question why we like Messi more

but yes Messi is the better player, just pointing out that for someone who we see as inferior his stats are not too bad...

Of course his stats arent bad, matter of fact he might be the best goalscorer since Gerd Müller, which is an amazing accomplishment, I see the guy as the greatest athlete to ever play the sport, his great workrate and drive, but when he is compared to the football gods who are more blessed with talent than him he gets outshined, coincidentally in this era by another player.
There is little shame in that of course, it just means compared to Messi his play is inferior, but so is almost everyone's level with the exception of a few at best.
People can favour who ever they like of course.

I liked Henry more than Dinho, but it was quite obvious his footballing level was inferior to him. Despite both of them being amazing.
When people have similair stats people like to rate them equally but anyone can see that its not the case, only those that dont watch the games or refuse to see it have a different opinion.

Statistically there is not that much difference between them, Messi is better with the ball than Ronaldo, and has that extra magic. But i will say this though, Ronaldo is in no way a bad player with the ball, i think he is a top player with the ball. Not that magic of Zidane, Ronaldinho, Messi etc. But he contributes very well when he gets involved. Sometimes i wish he got himself more involved, he obviously has the ability to create danger.

However, i dont think the difference is very big between them, and in my opinion Ronaldo has had a better season.
