Having a second thought about him prefering being th choice in RM not us, tbf we have too many midfielder as RM.
Busquets,Iniesta,Arda,Rakitic,Roberto,Rafinha,Gomes,Denis,Samper. In addition to Alena
We need to have a strong argument with plan if we are targeting him,if we telling him that those are staying and he will have to prove his worth then he isn't in better situation than RM.
We can talk about how shit Gomes & Arda,but those guys were considered stars in Liga. same as Denis too. Iniesta is a legend,Rakitic is better than him atm,and even Samper and Alena has being La Masia benefit.

Pretty much. Plus, that's Isco and Ceballos and Kova and James (if he stays) fighting it out for a spot in the midfield and on the RW (Isco and James). That's too much quality on one bench, Isco will be the first to moan when a fitter Bale is avaliable and he sees most of the bench or when James and Ceballos see more minutes than him. And, If it's not Isco who moans, It'll be James that of course if he stays and I'm sure Ceballos will also not be happy about playing third fiddle to Isco and James.

If Zidane is smart and knows what his team needs then he'll realize an extra midfielder to an already stacked midfield and bench will unsettle Isco and Kova and you'll end up with another James/Morata situation.

But, what do I know?

Meanwhile all those bench players could start for us

Not really surprising. Ceballos himself said few days ago that he will talk in 2 weeks about his decision. Sometimes player's close sources come through, but I think both cities papers are talking bullshit to sell papers.

We have so many great midfielders so its tough for the board to convince players like Ceballos? That is the type of argument used last season as well with MSN. Cant sign any good players, have to sign garbage because we have so many good players. Sorry, not buying it. At all.

Lets wait and see though. Ceballos might still become a Barca player. If we sign Yerry Mina and Wendel as well, I'd say we are on the right track. Leon Goretzka is another option. Its not Verratti or bust. We still have opportunities in the market. But moving for Paulinho shows utter incompetence so its hard what to think.

What I am saying,the board should offer him a real plan and and have a strategy approaching him, they should be poaching him with a real plan.
If I am Ceballos agent the first thing I will ask how you are gonna fit him with 10 midfielders already. If the board answer you need to fight for your place as Arda is staying,Gomes place is set,Denis is a midfielder,Iniesta is going to be renewed while RM offered him a real plan for his future,it is no surprise he will choose them.

RM already have Kroos and Isco, two world class players who will absolutely demand to start. Kroos then moves in the deeper Modric position. They have Kovacic, Llorente and Asensio as well. But we are talking about RM here. They give Isco a lower salary than Mathieu and he's perfectly happy with it. While warming the bench. Its just amazing.

Kroos and Modric is their midfield just now. They fit in Isco in some kind of 4-4-2 formation with Bale out but not sure they see Isco as the replacement to Modric.

Kovacic is not as great as people like to make out, Asensio is not a centre mid and Llorente I doubt they rate as highly as Ceballos.

Ceballos if he goes there and does well can easily get a lot of minutes and a great chance to replace Modric.

There will be plenty of reasons he has gone would guess but dont agree he is going there with a host of great players ahead of him winning a place.

Kroos is already a fantastic CM and Isco in a more attacking role next to him with Casemiro behind is absolutely lethal. RM have a truck load of options with Modric out already. Their midfield is so much better than ours its not even funny.

But lets see where Ceballos goes.
