Haha! He's surely a character. Who could blame him though? That goal was so awesome his body couldn't possibly know how to let it out!

So they would whistle him for putting in an immense performance? No wonder our defence sucks.
He scored a great goal, but apart from that, was his performance yesterday really so immense? He hoofed the ball forward on countless occasions (this would never be accepted at Camp Nou, where the fans require a good build-up play from the back), and he was also making some aimless runs from time to time (remember that run in the first half where he dribbled the whole right wing, only to get dispossessed eventually, and then he still had to run back 20m). At Barca we only play with 2 defenders and 9 attacking-minded people, the last thing we need is that one of those 2 CBs starts to attack on a regular basis too.

Of course it was immense and a better performance than any of our sorry defenders have mustered over the last few years. He hoofed the ball but it was necessary, Brazil doesn't even have a midfield worthy of the name, they are all hackers with literally zero technical abilities. Believe it or not he's also a wonderful short passer but again that's providing you have people to pass too.

If anything his performance reminded me at least, of Puyol in his pomp. The guy puts his body and soul on the line for the cause, I wish we had one or two defenders like him!!

Ruined by that mental patient celebration afterwards, however
I don't see the problem.

DL is living this WC with immense motivation. Maybe the most motivated Brazilian since WC started. Of course he would explode in joy when he scores a goal that probably assured at the time for Brazil to reach the semi.

It was immense. He and TS defended like it was their lives that depended on it.

It was a bit messy, but it's due to both teams being rough because it was like there was no referee yesterday.

I am not fan of him but yesterday he did the job. (that rough play will not work in the french league tho, as i said, almost any contact is a foul here)

Wow! Que Golazo!!!

Actually it wasn't THAT great. Neuer would have saved that shot since 1) he's much taller than that guy, 2) he would position himself correctly and not obstruct his own view by placing himself directly behind his own wall (?) of defenders. Since the shot was far from being right between post and bar, a better goalkeeper would have prevented that goal 7 out of 10 times.

Ok Nostradamus. It was a great goal nonetheless. The ball curved, and with that power it's never that easy to stop the ball. One of the candidates for the goal of the year.

This guy really puts his heart in all matches.

About his Goal, if one of our forwards (especially the one who will be sold soon) would have scored this Goal, we would have 20 pages here about Jogadorazo and the best goal in the history of the universe. And in a decisive match, of course.

Also, some comments how he wouldn't fit our team because he hoofs the ball forward.
On the other hand, we have Mascherano as a CB, who still doesn't understand when it is allowed and when it "isn't" allowed to hoof a ball away from your Goal.
So, on countless occasions, he decided to play dangerous short-passes in our box in the 93rd minute (with leading 2:1) because someone told him that we are Barca and that we should never lose Possession

Anyway, it will be extremely funny if don't buy any defender. For those fans who said that we shouldn't buy this guy in any scenario.
Currently, he is better than Pique+Masch+Bartra=together.

It was a good goal, yeah. But as I said, more goalkeeping error than anything. But potentially goal of the year? Tell me you are joking.

I'm not joking. Now you tell me, do you dislike Luiz? I feel like you're trying too much to downgrade his goal. Wonder if you were saying the same thing if it was one of your favorite players? Look at how he takes the fk with the inside of his foot. The curve and the power is brilliant.

I don't dislike him. I just don't think his goal was as great as you make it out to be. Rewatch the goal again, preferably also from the overhead perspective. I'm pretty sure you will correct your claim that it is a goal of the year candidate.

I've rewatched it enough. Thank you
