Huijsen is a beast. But he actually ha skills. He will be Cubarsi's long term partner with Spain.

I read he actually rejected us when he joined Juve in 2021. Jordi Cruyff even spoke to him in person but he preferred Juve's step-by-step plan to first team (worked out well lol).

Def seen it mentioned that he has a clause for that amount but no idea how accurate.

Would guess there would be too many options open for him from EPL and abroad for Barca to make it happen.

Be interesting if could sign and loan him back for a season though in some way that didnt imapct books but doubt he would want another season there.

The fact he can play LCB will make it even more of a frenzy for him. Clubs go doolally for LCBs that can pass a ball.

Most logical way if they did want him is sell Araujo for 60m if can and buy him.

End up with about +45m on the books this summer and +30m in the next two seasons FFP.

Would have to bin off Tah and go Cubarsi/Garcia Inigo/Huijsen.

Rumoured £55m which equals €66m. It's a lot for us who aren't desperate for a CB in 2025.

For Madrid however, slam dunk. They get their new Ramos.

I'm only reading positive stuff on him so far.

There's been Madrid rumours previously so I reckon they go for him.

They wanted Vitor Reis who is also a LCB that City advanced them for in Summer.

That probably answers why Pep didn't go for Huijsen, I dunno who is rated higher to be fair.

One thing I will add is that this XYZ partnership for the next 10-15 years talks rarely ever happens.

In a year or two there will be the next Huijsen who is bigger and better. I think Mokio (16) has already had a start for Ajax.

It's very convenient that Araujo release clause is the same amount as Huijsen. Araujo has to be leaving in the summer

Joe will move if he wants to be starter. As proven in 22/23, he can be a stud at a move defensive setup.

But I can also see them just adding Tah and spend that money on a big money move for a striker instead.

Araujo's clause is only for teams that don't play CL, can't see him going elsewhere and clubs like that paying 60 mil.

If we sold Araujo in January we would get something like 20 mil so there was never an option to sell Araujo and buy Huijsen with that money.
