According to what I've read about liver transplants, maybe he'll play half an hour on an exhibition match a couple of years from now.

So, we have lost a great defender and that's gonna hurt, actually it is referring to Chelsea-Madrid loss in a week.

Alba will take his good time to bring him up to the level but his physical traits can't allow him to be the next Abi

If we want to save money and still get a tall, physical and decent centre back who is still able to learn, then lets bring back Botia. Makes sense right

I didn't watch any of them ,but Nkolou played in Euro League ,not sure what is the rule there ,can he play in CL?
Also If Cameroon qualified to ACN ,that means we will lose him till February ,and It isn't like Marseille well let him go easily

Nkolou is definitely WC. . . Quite reminiscent of a younger Puyol. He is a tough guy (kinda like Pepe but without the animal attributes) and will be able to keep up with heavy weight strikers like Benzema. Just watched him against Ibrahimovic last week and was absolutely impressed. The only downside is the ACN as you mentioned. IMO, I rate him higher than Matt Hummels.

I need to watch more of Nicolas, hard to tell with OM since they are such a boring/defensive side to watch...I like his positional sense and seems like a quality individual as well which I'm sure makes him a prized target...What's his passing & ability to play the ball out of the back like?

He is a decent passer, very calm when on the ball. Wouldn't say his passing abilities is Barca standard, but then again he is a defender. . . I also like the fact that he hardly plays those long silly balls from the defence.

Apart from his theatrics and anti-sportsman/football stuff yes i do like him. Remember Supercopa first leg without this guy? and 2nd leg from CR. hehe! Pepe has it.

That doesn't change the fact i still regard him as the luckiest guy to survive on earth after so much he has done on the pitch.

Botia, Vertonghen and Van der Wiel(he's a RB!!) are all lost causes... Hummels not an option in January. Only Dede and Hector are viable from your list

I'd also add Dejan Lovren and N'Koulou into that list
