I think he will sign for us any day now, the rumours are getting more intense anyway. But the €20 mills' he's rumoured to cost is over the top imo. OK, he's promising, Donetsk is a good team and he's proven himself against many top teams (UEFA Europa League) - but he has yet to play in a a better league on daily basis to have such a hefty pricetag.
But as somebody pointed out in another thread, he's style and potential resembles that of Beckenbauer. But I'm not sure about his ability to build up our offensive play yet.

At this point, we will know for sure if there is a chance for him to come or not during his team match in CL qualifications this Wednesday. If he plays this game, then no more Chyh..... -.-

Lucescu (coach) said he understood the player wanted to leave and sympathized with him, so I think he'll leave him out.

Biggest problem is Akhmetov. Guy is a billionaire and obviously Shaktar doesn`t need to sell.
It`s really up to Chy to make that push and ask for the transfer.

I think he'd suit well. He's not a pure defender in terms of technical ability: he can also pass the ball well. And that's more or less a necessity to play in Barça.

He'll be our very own beast from the east.

He could eat Vidic for breakfast.

Dream on Id back the big Serb in a fist fight with anyone you could hit him with a hammer and he'd bounce back up .

The only problem you would get with that is that it would put players off from signing for them . Shaktar is a industrial town in fact its more of a shit hole so attracting players is no easy task . You dont want add to that fact that a player cant leave there once he has signed .

Hey Mido. You can't re-register after the first leg in CL for another team? So if he plays the qualification round for Donetsk we can't use him in CL?

It's kind off a shit hole, yes - I've been there (I like to travel to strange places ;) ). But they pay good money, hell - the club is richer than half of the clubs in Premier league
