I know what you mean, England to move on from Lampard & Gerrard. Sadly Hodgson isn't brave enough to drop them and weather the inevitable outcry from the press if he did. Carrick should be instead of Lampard at least.

TBF I seriously doubt that Lampard will start and Gerrard has proven in his new role that he can adapt to a more defensive position. I suspect Henderson and Oxlade-Chamberlain or Wilshere will start in midfield alongside Gerrard.

It's the old criticism with Gerrard, never plays as well for England..The midfield looks fantastic however...Lallana, Ox, Sterling, Wilshere, Barkley. Kinda wish Ramsey was English, him and Henderson would cover some ground...

Need a maverick manager to get the best out of them, Hodgson is too conservative..It's going to be lost in defence however, looks to weak..Only Cahill is stand out...
