Germany have reason to feel cheated to be honest. Spain should have been down to ten men in the first half but the clowns in the VAR booth took no action.

Saw the match live only from 2nd half on. But looking at the replay now I agree that this should have been a definite straight red card. No idea why VAR did not intervene there.

0 Barcelona players on the Spain U21 squad, nice observation.

Sad indeed but not unexpected given the developments in recent years.

In any case the win yesterday was another confirmation that you are bound to win if you have a long-term sporting project, the right manager and managerial team, a patient federation/board and a large talent pool. Once you taste success it becomes a habit hence why the same national teams (more or less, club teams included) tend to dominate again and again historically.

Fabián Ruiz the MVP of the entire tournament IMO and deservedly so. Wanted us to buy him last summer and always rated him higher than the likes of Ceballos (he did very well again in his own right) or Lo Celso. Would have been ideal in a midfield composed of FDJ and Arthur IMO.

Could very well see Pep going for him next summer when Silva needs to be replaced and provided that Pep will remain at City.

Spain U19 reached the Euro U19 final by beating France U19 in a penalty shootout. They will play against Portugal U19 in the final.
This team has 4 Barça players (Abel Ruiz, Jandro Orellana, Juan Miranda, Arnau Tenas) and 2 former Barça players (Sergio Gómez, Eric García) as starters and other 2 Barça kids (Alejandro Marqués, Álvaro Sanz) on the bench as well.
Really proud of our players:barcascarf:

That's good to hear. We need more local kids coming through the system.

It looks nice in this video and it's what most of England's games have looked like, but the Portuguese pressed us like crazy in the second half of our game against them and we kinda reverted to type a little bit. If England aren't brave enough try to dominate the ball against Spain it's going to be a struggle to get the win, even if we haven't conceded a goal so far.

Btw last time England reached the final was in 2009 against Germany.
6 players in that Germany squad went on to win the World Cup.
7 players in the England squad went on to play for Sunderland.
Germany won 4-0.

Current England squad is stacked though. Spain might get demolished.
