Silva will be cheaper and more versatile, and he links up with Xaviesta well for the national team. I also like his devotion to the team he plays for, while Fabregas fecks off when the team is going through hard times (this will be his second time).

I think Silva will play mostly in the middle if he plays for us.

David Silva is more versatile: he can play as a left winger and a attacking midfielder for sure, and perhaps as a right winger too. Cesc is just a cental midfielder, though a good one. What's also a plus imo, is that David Silva is left-footed. That can be an advantage if he'd play aside of Xavi in midfield.
