Name: Francisco 'Fran' José Villalba Rodrigo.
Born: 11 May 1998
Position: CM
Club: Valencia

Together with Carles Aleñá, Spain's most promising U19 midfielder. Apparently, Robert is very keen on him and sees him and Aleñá as Barça's future in midfield. Villalba is disappointed not to have been promoted to the first team this summer after being key for Valencia Mestalla last season. He hasn't been loaned out either. Barça are willing to offer him thrice as much as Valencia give him now.

When Villalba was younger, he moved to La Masia, but returned to Valencia after just one month, because he was home-sick.

Let me tell you, this kid is pure class. Robert would indeed be a God if he could lure him from Valencia. No need to worry what so ever post Iniesta: Aleñá, Kaptoum, Villalba, Denis...

Looks like the Modric of youth leagues. Skill and compsure, everything you'd want from an 18yo midfielder

This guy is incredible, but I don't see any place for him here tbh. Would be cool to see him play here though, could become world class with Barça.

The thing is though we have a 23-year-old Andre Gomes and a 22-year-old Denis Suarez as young midfield options already. It'll be hard enough for Alena to get minutes without adding another top prospect to the squad.

We'll see what happens. All about how the new coach handles things. Chances are that Aleñá won't develop quickly enough to get a breakthrough while Lucho is here.

He extended his contract to 2021 in december, so it would be an accomplishment to sign him, imo.
Apparently everything is possible in Valencia right now - so go for him Robert!
