No doubt Ribery has been a top 5 player this year but Messi and Ronaldo are still far far ahead. It would be a crime if Messi didn't win it because of injuries. He literally won La Liga by himself last season and carried the team to the CL semis.

Don't get me wrong, i'm a Messi-fan but yeah you can also say that a player who missed so much time with injury this year shouldn't win the ballon d'or. I hope he wins it but i can understand why he might not win it for 2013 having missed quite a lot of time .
